Got what we deserved. They got lucky with how the ball fell to trossard but they were on top. Conte was outplayed tactically - our midfield was too deep. Players weren’t up for it, no tempo and no press. Wingbacks have got to be our priority in the summer. I’m hesitant to say this (after his performance midweek) but game was crying out for Ndombele.
No leader in that team to urge team when it's really needed even when were playing bad. Too preoccupied with own performance.
The first half against Villa was a warning, however, against the odds we won that game and the players got rewarded by being allowed to take time off.
The issue with that is, they didn't learn shit and today has proven that because we got an even WORSE performance than Villa during the first half for an entire 90 mins.

Not 1 attempt on target at home to Brighton. I have never seen a team consistently blow hot and cold like Spurs. It’s like the team has some kind of collective bipolar disorder. No excuse for that performance but there’s still a long way to go in this yet. Just got to win the next one. Anyone who thought this was done was way off.
I could almost guarantee we won't play that badly again between now and the end of the season. It felt like one of those games, which we'd also have under Redknapp, Poch, etc where we know how good the team can be but they just stink the place up from start to finish.
We have to beat that out of the squad to do anything special. Conte probably the best chance we have at that.
