Transfers Summer 2022 Transfer Thread.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Maybe I'm clutching at straws here, but is there a silver lining if we do miss out on CL and get Europa League?

When it comes to transfers, some of the names we seem to be linked with are young exciting prospects.

Spence/Singo, Brennan probably would not be trusted to start CL games, so they'd either play only domestic cups or be loaned out if we were in CL.
Same applies to current players such as Gil and Sarr.

But if we got Europa, they'd get game time, improve with Conte's training sessions, and we could develop super stars?!
EL would also be our best chance to break trophy duck atm (any competition with both City and Liverpool is looking tough next season!)

If we are in the EL I'm not sure Conte will be manager

Atalanta and Tottenham are particularly interested in Rıdvan Yılmaz. Struggling with the 3-4-3 formation, Atalanta and Tottenham will also closely follow the performance of the 20-year-old football player in this system.

Contract expires 2023. £5m LB, LWB?

Obviously fake! He is out contract on a free

:king:
Yeah but as he plays in a different country we are able to offer him a contract at any point in the last 6 months of his current deal, so from last January basically. What The Don has cleverly done, is bide his time rather than seem desperate and steam in with an offer at the first opportunity, now Kylian has had a good 4 months to realise that he's not had any offers and begin to get desperate, give it until May and he'll be throwing money at us and begging for the opportunity to come and play here...

:levylol:

Conte won't be happy if we're in August and haven't shown any intent.
I like that he won't be happy with that too.

Of course. What I am saying is that we will be linked with a lot of players this summer like normal. 90% of it will be bollocks like normal too. Yet you’ll see people getting all wound up when certain transfers don’t come off and we probably weren’t even in for them in the first place!

It seems pretty obvious the positions we are targeting are wingback and left centre back. I wouldn’t be surprised if the other positions change depending on who we can sell. If we can finally get winks out we will get another central midfielder, for example. If Regullion gets a decent bid from Spain I reckon we will let him go. Plus also I can see us cashing in on Bergwijn and Lucas and bringing some attackers in.

Some of that might happen at the start (the positions Conte really wants sorted), but I wouldn’t be surprised if like usual, it happens at the end of the window. It’s the nature of the beast I am afraid.

I wish this site was right when they claim that Spurs will be fighting Fulham over the signature of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. I thought bigger and better clubs would be after him...

And what is a transfer window without Adrien Rabiot being linked yet again to Spurs... This time becacuse Lloris once praised his potential

I have never seen this 16 years LB Travis Patterson (Aston Villa) play but for a decent price I won't be against signing him. But I doubt he'll leave Villa now anyway. However, unless he's got some "Paolo Maldini DNA" I can't see him being close the 1st team for at least another 2-3 years ...

Anyone else surprised by the Conte charm offesive toward Eriksen? Hope it works tbh.

Have you any idea why the Villa academy seems to have suddenly hit such a rich seam of talent. Its odd?

Where does Eriksen ply in a3-4-3 though?
He could play in Kulu's position. He used to play there in the past. A lot of what Kulu does, Eriksen could do, and do it better.

He could also play in a 2 with Skipp, PEH, as both can do heavy lifting in defence. He can also play in a 3 alongside Skipp, Bentancur.

The option of having Eriksen in the front three with Kulu at rwb is a good one when chasing a goal. I was suprised we didn't make a similar change against Brighton, especially as Kulu was struggling to get into the game at rw
