I can’t wait for the collapse of Western civilisation as we know it because *checks notes*
A group of irrelevant people said they thought a chant was mean.

Agreed. It's amazing how much these comments from the Trust have triggered people.Ok, so they think it's offensive & reflects poorly on Spurs fans due to it being classist, and clearly many others (especially in here) disagree and think it's fine. That's absolutely fine and simply a case of different opinions, what everyone views as acceptable in a football ground is very different and constantly evolving.
There are certain chants which are disgusting and rightly banned now which would've been seen as the norm not so long ago. Now people are having a discussion about this and that's correct and how discourse works. It hasn't been banned and isn't likely to be banned, so no the evil spectre of 'wokeism' some of you are hilariously terrified of isn't looming large.

I don't think I agree with the sentiment of the trust statement, but I don't outright disagree either. The conversation is interesting, and ultimately, as always, people will decide for themselves what they feel is acceptable/funny.
I think the chant is tedious and a throwback to the past, but don't care all that much if others still find it funny enough to chant.
I do really find it funny how many blood vessels have burst over the mere suggestion that they should consider not singing it in the future. Nothing better to get angry about?
Can you provide a list of things that people are allowed to get angry about and those that are off-limits. I wouldn't want to inadvertently trigger someone. Cheers.
It's funny because this thread is filled with people who are triggered, and it isn't those who don't like the chant.

Political/social discussion and debate = oooooh someone is triggered.
How old are you?

Told you this shit always eats it self. There's a bunch of people on both wings of 'the world innt what I want it to be seesaw' desperate to bore us. Let's talk about real stuff like what a big teethed tool Klopp is, or exactly how Leggo boi will spin the ass kicking he gets Thursday night. The thread was only started because the Trust were triggered by the chant......and that has been spun to 'people who respond to the thread have been triggered'.
Amusing really.

You always respond to my posts and I have you largely on ignore.People who respond with playground insults to what the trust have said, or respond with bottom of the bin dreadful takes like 'the western world is going to fall because of wokeism!' are triggered, not everyone who responds to the thread. But you knew that, right?
I don't think they got it right on this one, but they're entitled to say they find the chant distasteful, and many fans will share that opinion.

And you're lecture me on 'triggering'. If you had any self awareness you'd see the funny side of that.

And fans that don't share that opinion are entitled to question statements that that the unelected Trust put out on behalf of Spurs fans.

Well, the people who are not the ones being told to STFU usually have a much more visible aura of tolerance, don't you agree?
Good intentions are perfectly cost-free for the ones not having to check their behaviour.
Values are an odd thing. Alledged "tolerance" in particular.
So just a coincidence that this is on the back of Yids and other crap that never used to happen? What they've said is that they think Spurs fans are above those particular chants, and that they think we should move on from them. They can't tell you to do anything as they have no power, and people in poverty aren't covered under the equality act.
It's a suggestion/opinion from a fan led group, that is it. You disagree? Feel free to continue and say they're just being sensitive.
Think it's just on the back of Twatter me self. Now that was the greatest trick the devil ever did...So just a coincidence that this is on the back of Yids and other crap that never used to happen?
