Must admit my heart sank when I heard Romero was out this evening.

But Sanchez did no wrong this evening - my only real gripe was Royal missing two decent chances but I know attack was never his game. So with that reservation all the players did well.

Really surprised Holding didn't get carded for his first major foul, so for the 3rd he got red carded for, it was frankly well past time. And although down to 10 men his sending off probably didn't change the game that much - just meant Son survived the game - if it wasn't a game of football Holding came close to a charge of GBH.

And the result of the game was really never in doubt although clearly helpful to get the first goal out of the way, followed by a 2nd well before half time.

But even with our injuries and (arguably) limited squad, our first team is so much better than theirs its beyond debate. A great position to start a squad rebuild from.

And I loved Arteta's reaction to the loss !

Not only did Dav hold strong at the back, a nice ball into Kane, setting up the third. Credit where credit is due.

Lovely that guys who might not have a huge future with the team are still going all out in a NLD.

And Kane and Son being the scorers? Poetry.

I'll be at home hoping for the best but understanding I'll have the consolation of calling Royal a massive twat if we don't get the win.
I was astonished how many Woolwich supporters left the ground well before the end ...... after maybe 50 or 60 minutes their crowd was gone and just so much space.

No real surprise as they never looked confident and it was downhill all the way after the first goal ..... and TBH Holding was probably lucky to be on the pitch after 20 or 30 minutes given hus inability tp do anything other than to foul Son whenever the ball was passed to Son.

The better footballing side were on top pretty much all throughout the game. A joy to watch

Woolwich are not a great side. They have a lot of young hungry players who fight hard and pressure the refs with aggressive play, rolling around on the floor screaming, diving, starting fights with opponents trying to get reactions.
Their general play is pretty average most of the time and have had an amazing amount of luck in recent weeks.
I would be surprised if they pick up maximum points in the next 2 games tbh I believe/hope by the law of averages their luck must have run out but we are talking about Woolwich here

Nah i am hoping Leeds will magically up their game and keep the pressure on Everton, Everton has shown they can get things done against the bigger clubs when the gun barrel is pushed against their forehead

And Woolwich are without a defence, so the stars are indeed aligning for a magical Conte run in CL next season

Arteta Lego head demands the highest level of dicipline from his players.

Woolwich 15 red cards most of any PL clubs.

Arteta, "If I say what I think(about refs) I am suspended for six months".🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Maddest day ever at the THS!
Did anyone get caught up in the "Friendly Fire" incident outside the ground?
A load of us who happened to be behind a cordon of Police vans, which were there to segregate us from the visiting fans, were mistakenly bombarded with flares and bottles by Spurs fans who were on the other side of the cordon. A very hairy experience indeed, and I've never seen anything like it before at a NLD.
Giving the gooner fans abuse as they're being escorted down the High Rd is an integral part of the NLD experience for me, and I should know better really, but it was worth it for the buzz.
Best home atmosphere this season, and I'm still buzzing off it-COYS!

The guy is winging it in my opinion, is full of BS excuses when they lose, and makes out he is a tactical genius when they scrape a win. I hope he stays.

Couldn’t watch the match today because of work meetings. Had to turn off my phone. As soon as I turned on my phone I received an alert about Sonny’s goal. Went from a very good day to a fantastic day.

Couldn’t be more pleased, except when we qualify for the CL!

What a night that was. It was just like the old days.
The atmosphere before the game was amazing and like we haven’t seen for a long time. I have never seen such a scared bunch of away fans. They were surrounded by double the amount of police, horses and followed up by a couple of riot vans and they were still whinging, an absolute embarrassment.
The atmosphere during the game was also first class, made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

It was such a big night but like I mentioned in the original match post, I was not a bit nervous and was only looking forward to smashing them, as their players are all bottlers and I knew they would not be able to handle the hostile atmosphere and that is exactly what happened. They froze like rabbits in the headlights and we absolutely smashed the granny out of them which I feel they will carry into Monday night’s game at Newcastle.

As a spurs fan it would be normal and expected to say their fans were poor but oh my god how shit and embarrassing they were. Never heard a peep out of them and many left with half an hour left, what an utter mess they were.

We proved last night that the weak underbelly has left this group of players and they knew what’s this game meant to them, the club and the fans..

An utter beautiful beautiful night.. COYS!!

Jesus Christ, I’ve just seen Artera’s post match interview, what a pathetic baby.. Thank god they have extended his contract because he is absolutely clueless. Last night was one of the most naive and unprofessional performances I’ve ever seen..
He had clearly given Holding the job of stopping Son at all costs and it cost them the game, it was so blatant and I can’t believe he wasn’t carded before he was..

What a clown Arteta is.

Just watched that Arteta interview again, he is a fucking disgrace. Like a whinging kid. Still can’t believe he can go on tv as a supposed professional manager and act like that.
Gary Neville and studio pundits all unanimously agreed with ref decisions and even Jamie Redknapp , who can never usually stop himself from having a dig at us, was saying he couldn’t understand what Arteta was on about.
Arteta has learned this strategy from Pep, who moans about every decision favouring an opponent, but Pep manages to stay, just about, in the realms of reality. Legoman on the other hand, the entitled fuck, has lost the plot. The lying cheating cunt had the original fixture called off which led to a rule change because the cheating was so blatant. Yesterday his club were called out with a score line that flattered them, should have been 4 or 5 and he knows it. Nothing but a spoilt brat.
In the space of a week, we have that gurning moaning numpty at Anfield criticising us for not rolling over and playing in a way that suited his side and now Legoman complaining that we were given favourable refereeing decisions. Joke.
Was reading the Sky Sports match report and they summed up perfectly one of the reasons the scum lost— “The gunners, overawed by the atmosphere and the occasion, were reduced to 10 men when Holding was given his marching orders…”

Sorry, put previous post in wrong place. Anyway….

There was huge Yid on Yid scrap in block 530 yesterday (my brother in laws block). Not a single steward in the block. He had no idea what it was all about.

Fun times.
