We are signing Lewandowski ain’t we ?

Surely the boat has been missed on this one? We could've signed him when he wasn't indispensable to them but Levy wouldn't pay the fee, now he's their best defender and there's no way they don't sell for a ridiculous fee.

.....Even then they wouldn't drop their price-tag below £45m.

Contract expires 2023...... Last year of his deal incoming.
If he won't re-sign there's a deal to be done.

Current TM estimate: £58m.

I just don't think there's a quality market for RWBs right now. The best ones (Alexander-Arnold, James, Hakimi, Kimmich) are already at top clubs who would have no interest in selling them to any club. Then there's quite a big drop to the next level, and one basically skips a level of RWBs before one gets to the likes of Spence, Jones, Singo, Mæhele, Traore, Dest, Dumfries who Spurs have been linked with. All of them have various big question marks about them.
This means that one has to be realistic when saying the likes of Jones, Lamptey, Spence, Singo, or whoever aren't quality enough for Conte at RWB. I just don't think there's an obvious player Spurs should go out and sign for this position of enough quality to be a stand-out. It’s a market issue rather than a Spurs issue. Even teams with more money and pulling power than Spurs are struggling to find the quality they’re looking for in a RB/RWB.
And to make matters a bit worse, the best RWB that Spurs most probably could have gotten this summer, Tino Livramento*, is now injured out 2022.*
*PS! Yes, I know Chelksi have a buy-back option on Livramento.

Another reason why Perisic would be a good option imo as he can play either side.

He's a brilliant defender. People are all hot under the collar for Bastoni because he's silky on the ball & has high potential, but Skriniar has been the rock for Inter all season. He'd have been worth the 45 million back then and would be worth 50-60 now.

But probably not quite a priority.

So no Haaland, Mbappe or Pogba for RM now then..... I wonder who their showpiece signing is likely to be now?

Salah? :levywhoa:

.......After all the hype, their melt fans won't accept no new galactico pony.

As we have one eye on replacing Lloris in a year or two, I’d really like us for once to go for a monster GK in the Donnarumma/Courtois mould. 6’5”+

Romero, Dier and someone like a Skriniar/Bremer addition in front. Proper snarly dominating defence and also a set piece threat in oppo box.
The white Makelele Skipp sitting in front…impregnable

Supposedly Inter have been negotiating with Bremer for months and are close to signing him. If true and I addition to their current back line, this would give them the best CBs in Europe.
Presumably though, it means one (or more) of the current CB line (probably De Vrij but who knows?) are off.
