If true then it's an insult to both Lo Celso and Spurs. He's worth around £30m

Why is this argument not applied to Jota/Dias/Firmino/Origi?
WE NEED QUALITY DEPTH.
Signing someone like GJ would allow us to play Son in the CL, for example, and then rest him and start GJ in the league. These kind of options are what is required to go to the next level.
Some unique phenomenon that Spurs seem to have that we can never sign an attacker because Son or Kane couldn't possibly ever be rotated. The reason they have seen so little rotation is precisely because we never had a good option to come in, so they were forced to play every minute even through severe losses in form.
I wish Pochettino had done this before signing Ndombele. In fact, he could simply have googled and had enough info not to buy him.

P O Keefe mentioned that this player could be Pogba.. not that Pogba had agreed to join or anything, but that we declined to look into a potential deal.I wish Pochettino had done this before signing Ndombele. In fact, he could simply have googled and had enough info not to buy him.

Tottenham Hotspur are leaving no stone unturned in their extensive recruitment efforts to improve their squad.
Sky Sports reporter Paul Gilmour has revealed that the north Londoners have previously rejected the opportunity to sign a talented Premier League footballer since their findings believed that he would be a disruptive influence within the dressing room.
Spurs managing director of football Fabio Paratici has been working behind the scenes to conduct an evaluation of all departments which link to the footballing aspect of the club including a refresh of the scouting set-up (Football.London).
Gilmour told Sky Sports: “Extensive homework is being carried out on player ability and character. Spurs recently rejected the chance to sign one talented Premier League player because their research highlighted concerns he could be a disruptive influence.”

Antonio Conte appears to have moved on some of the disruptive influences within the squad and now has a happy core of players which we have not seen since the Mauricio Pochettino era.
Sky reporter Michael Bridge revealed in March that Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele were not generally popular at the club which is hardly surprising both found themselves shipped out of the club on loan (GiveMeSport).
Remember... Levy got £17m for Kevin Wimmer
Could he evolve into a LWBI like Darwin. But I really think his lacklustre technical level will be highly exposed in the premier league. I could see him being another Werner.

We need to move on from weaning every last penny out of deals and dragging it out. You don’t want these turds at pre season, fuck them off now and let Conte plan accordingly

I wouldn't be surprised if the stadium rights have been settled, hence the wad of money available for transfersLeverkusen don't sell their players cheaply. He will probably cost around 60-70 mill which is what Benfca would want for Nunez. Yeah not being proven in a top league is a risk but the same could have been said of Diaz and he is doing fine at Liverpool. What I like about Nunez is that he is physically a monster and is not afraid to impose himself, but he is quite mobile too and can play effectively down the left wing as well as through the centre, so could be an option to rotate with both Son and Kane. Schick is more of a central striker.
Might be a gopd time to sign Lamptey. His stock has dropped second half of the season so doubt they would be wanting anywhere near the figures that were quoted before.
Thing is, they will probably be losing Bissouma and Cucurella so won't exactly be needing the £££.
Pochettino was the coach. It wasn't his job to do background checks/scouting on players. We have no idea if the people we had at the club actually did their research or not. You think Klopp is doing that kind of work at Liverpool? He didn't even want Salah.
Blame the scouting team, not the manager..
