Does perisic still have an engine at 33?

We can do one or two of these “experienced” signings. We can’t field an entire team of older experienced players or we won’t run enough.

Fuck yeah, raid Inter. Clean them the fuck out. Get Bastoni, and Barella too. HAhahaha

That’s like me saying Son played plenty on right side. Yes he had some games, but compared to him playing on left side, it’s nothing.
The key difference lies with the role: goal scoring attacker vs cog of the machine, provider.

Son and many other wing forwards play on the opposite of their dominant foot (inverted) because it allows more shooting option when the opportunity comes.

Old school winger playing on the same flank as their strong foot would have their shooting angle, and option limited. Full back, wing back preferably should play on the flank of their dominant foots. Wingback role is more about ball carrying, providing width for the team and providing service.

There are more right footed wingbacks/left backs (Does left footed wing back exist?) because left footer are fewer in overall population, and quality left footer is even rarer, let alone one that perfectly fit the system.

Perisic was used more on left wing mostly is because overall it's easier to get right wing back on similar level than left wing back. Most recent high profile example is Cancelo playing mostly on the left for Man City and they have money to burn especially buying defenders. If natural left wing back is available, moving a natural right footed defender, back to right flank is a non issue. For example: Philip Lahm played on the left earlier in his career at Stuttgart (on loan), Bayern, Germany NT.

This is what Conte brings. Elite Players want to play for him, if we have the money we should be able to put up a fight for almost any player Real Madrid aside.

So basically free signing and about £120k or so a week for two years. Perfect.

The £6 million is net. Perisic will be on over £200,000 (gross) a week.

The reason Perisic can ask for so much money is because there is no transfer fee.

Spurs will likely structure the deal with a signing on bonus. This avoids the wage bill getting higher.
