Imagine if we bring 2 world class players (Perisic and Eriksen) on free
Regui out, Perisic in
Rodon out, Bastoni in
Emerson out, Djed Spence in (+1 homegrown)
Gollini out, Forster in (+2 homegrown)
add in a decent championship player to pad out the squad.
I think we'll be fine.
So basically free signing and about £120k or so a week for two years. Perfect.
His wages are the £120k pw (but could well be more) plus the add on £6m signing on fee (another £60k pw spread over 2 years)
Yes. I believe. Against the Dippers in CL tie, he worked tirelessly against a PL team known for high physical and athletic performance. I would say he outperformed TAA in term of athleticism in the tie.Does perisic still have an engine at 33?
We can do one or two of these “experienced” signings. We can’t field an entire team of older experienced players or we won’t run enough.
Still has half a foot more than lamela.Signing players with only 1 and a half feet
We’ll do anything to save a few bob

calf strain....1 month out...not serious.I hope we also sign Kostic (or Raum) in case Perisic injury turns out to be serious. Also might be better off playing Perisic RWB and Kostic/Raum LWB
Decent!
poster I was answering, no source
Not sure how McKennie got lumped in with those other two. The guy started for a solid CL squad, and he started over Bentancur - because he’s better than Bentancur. Why are we being linked with the likes of Traoré, Mckennie, Richarlison still? We’re in the fucking champions league and have more money now, we gotta do better than this
So a supporter of a team we are planning to buy a player from indicating said player is not up to snuff. If that's not a clear sign we should sign Bastoni, I don't know what is.I can see his concern about Bastoni, which is why Gvardiol is my no. 1 LCB option (but RB Leipzig seems to be very reluctant to sell him). But I also trust Conte & Paratici on this one.
Inter fan here
I think this deal has a good chance of going through.
However, while I love the player and would support him should he move, I'm not convinced Bastoni will succeed in England. He plays in a very Italian manner and I think Serie A compliments him perfectly while England may expose some weaknesses. Despite his size he's also pretty soft for a center back. He needs to be much nastier. Off the pitch, he's also very much an Italian boy through and through. Based on my experiences following Italian players over the past decades I think there's a good chance he might be the type to have trouble adapting to life in England.
I don't want to come across as salty because we're losing an immense prospect but this is my honest view on the player. Like I said, should he join Spurs I'll be supporting him.
I know this is the Bastoni thread but I just want to say that I suspect you'll be linked to yet another one of our players in de Vrij (if you haven't been already). I'm very confident in that. I suspect there will be Man Utd speculation too.
de Vrij has a year left on his contract and Inter do not want to extend him. In fact, he's coming off easily the worst season in his Inter career but I believe it's due to the contract situation (we initially began talks to renew then withdrew). I also believe that there's still an excellent player there, IMO significantly better than Dier. Sometimes you see a player struggle and you just know they need a change of scenery and a fresh start. That's how I feel about Stefan. The club has not handled his extension well at all and coming off a poor season, he would be available at a lower price than normal.
His replacement in Bremer is nearly secured too and from what I've seen of Dier and Davies, I think you guys need a middle CB far more than an LCB. I think de Vrij represents an excellent opportunity for Conte and I expect him to request the player.
