I'd honest to god rather have Winks.
Our HG issue has got beyond being resolved by fringe players - using UEFA definitions this is current status :
Club Trained - Kane, Winks, Tanganga, Austin (+ Skipp from 22/23)
Trained by other clubs affiliated to The FA - Sessegnon
So if we assume Winks is leaving we currently have 5 qualifying HG players rather than 8, resulting in a maximum squad size of 22 players.
Forster coming in gets us an extra HG player, brining up maximum squad size to 23.
Spence I'm personally a bit luke warm on whether he is good enough to take a squad place, but if Conte thinks so then that brings us up to 24 players.
Tanganga has played very little for the first team and lacks experience - it might be better to loan him to a lower PL side to give him game time , but that reduces squad size by one.
Not necessarily true.... As per my previous post, 1 more HG player and we're up to a 25 man squad.
