So, if one is to believe the rumor mill, then, by the start of the season, Spurs will have turned into Brazil...as they are "planning" to buy all the following Brazilians: Dodô, Bremer, Lucas Paqueta, Richarlison, Gabriel Jesus, Raphinha. There's is no way that Emerson or Luca Moura will leave Spurs then :D

Reports in Brazil that Richarlson doesn't want to decide his future until he is back from holiday. Maybe that is too late for us so we are going to go for Raphinha instead?

I'd assume back-up ST is a position we're prepared to take a little more time over. Much like playing the long-game over a CB....... They shouldn't prove too much of an obstacle to the pre-season process.

Conte is defo stocking that midfield of ours with quality now and getting rid of deadwood, last season he got rid of Lo Celso Ndoms Alli (attacking mid trio) replaced with Bentancur, Bissouma , Erisksen(fingers crossed) skipp to return also and when you add Hojberg to the full complement of MF, it seems Conte will try to utilise a 3-5-2 system next season (mainly in CL imo) he was a big fan of this system in Italy... Although 3-4-3 would still be the go to in PL, this gives us a proper Plan B and option in Europe where in some games would be needed, even in the Prem when we need to shore up the MF or see out a game that we have slender lead in. All in all he actually has the players to deploy that system also IF he requires it,

Spence and Forster are essential to getting to 23 or 24 players (under UEFA definition) as Skipp is no longer an u21 next season, so its :

Club trained : Kane, Skipp, Tanganga, Austin (4 - as minimum required). Assumes Winks sold

Trained at other clubs affiliated to The FA : Sessegnon, Forster, Spence (3)

Minimum 8 HG players (club trained and other clubs), but we have 7 so we can only have 24 players.

Plusses and minuses

- Tanganga has been in Spurs first team for 3 seasons but never had a run of matches so lacks experience. Best thing could be a loan out .... reducing us to 6 HG players and hence 23 players in the squad.

- Possibly one player available from u21's who is now over 21 who could cover RWB/LWB but not sure Conte wants a player with almost zero first team exposure ...... and no links to HG players to buy. So realistically no upside on HG players.

So as I say likely 23 or 24 players in squad

.

Tanganga has spent more time with the physio than Lamela and Anderton combined and cannot be relied upon for a squad place under any circumstances.

Another almost player similar to CCV
