We'll likely be telling Emerson, Requillon and others to find another club and they seem quite happy here. Is that strongarming them out or just part and parcel of modern day football? As long as its not done with any animosity or 'freezing them out' i just dont see the issue. Clearly Moura wont do anything he doesnt want to do. But as i said we heard the same from Toby and Lamela 12 months ago.
Nothing wrong with telling a player that the club is willing to sell them, a player can then decide whether to knuckle down and prove himself, or take it as the writing on the wall and look for a fresh start elsewhere.

Look I don't know whether you just skipped past it or maybe I've misinterpreted, but there was a page with more than one person suggesting ways that the club should "make" Moura accept a move which he doesn't want, including the threat of not playing him. For me that's completely at odds with, as a fan, then expecting loyalty to the club from players who are under contract.

You tell a player that they will be down the pecking order due to new arrivals, it leaves the door open for them to outperform the new guy in training and matches and reclaim the spot, you tell a player you deliberately won't play them to force them into moving, that's BS. And that is what I took it as some suggesting.

Chavs defence will be far less established and settled than ours next season. He'll sign for us if he knows what's good for his career (and his soul)!

He really doesn’t want to leave Inter , so if the lure of Conte bringing him to England can’t persuade him , I can’t see him going to the chavs

I'm not sure why people are so happy for him to run down his contract.. football isn't a charity. He's a decent player, very talented, but he's scored 5 goals in his last 64 league games. If we want to challenge we need better players. There's nothing wrong with wanting to move him on and bring in a player 5/6 years younger who might provide more for us on the field. And I like him more than I did this time last year, or the year before. Just don't think he's quite good enough.
I totally agree and would rather his potential transfer fee was used to refresh the squad. That being said, he's behaving exactly as a professional should, and it's down to us to either renew, sell or run it down.

Some players kick up a fuss, refuse to sign a contract, whore themselves out and wait to go on a free. He's not doing this.

not bothered about Woolwich signing jesus

not an imposing striker i feel they will just get a slight upgrade on lacazette
Annoyingly, I think he upgrades them. I wonder if he'll do what many players before him have done and turn into a weird snidey cunt when he arrives.

The good news though is that if it gets done now, they won't be 'in the race' for Richarlison driving his price up (and I do think he's the better fit for our needs).

... could we really be in for him? I'd normally call it nonsense if we were already in pretty heavily for Richarlison, but lord help me the new stories of a potential Lucas-to-Juve move makes me think it could happen.

Imagine upgrading Bergwijn and Lucas for Richarlison and Raphinha in the same summer. The £150m injection makes it very possible.
Newcastle have the Saudi third kit, why don't we follow suit? I'm sure Nike would be happy.
