if that happened you think watford not going to take that to court? imagine if clubs tried to shaft us like that? levy wins 100%.

the dele deal has been agreed, to go back on that to shaft watford is just wrong. at least with winks theres been no value or deal agreed. its still wrong but you cant prove it because winks has no confirmed value attached to him. if watford try and say hes worth X amount, send them the clip of him in his 30 min cameo against everton!

“An additional solution is to sell a player with a significant player trading profit before the end of June 2022. Of the current squad, Calvert-Lewin offers the greatest potential for profit with a negligible book value. Richarlison similarly with an estimated book value of around £14 million offers (however undesirable it may be), the potential for profit.”

Is this where selling Gordon makes the most sense for them. As a homegrown player his book value is zero, so anything they sell him for would be profit?

Gordon is a very physical player, aggressive, quick and none stop. Richarlison and Gordon is basically the Everton team, they would be fools to lose Gordon.

Gordon is very young but gave Liverpool all manner of trouble when he played them. Has a huge future.
Yes I've been impressed with him but he's not really natural cover for inverted forwards Son and Kulu is he?

More of an out and out left winger which we don't use, a la Gil.

It's completely at Everton's discretion on how much they want to sell him for. Watford signed off on those terms so they have a binding contract so if they take it to court it will get thrown out.

Morally wrong maybe but that's business.

We have had itk that Ajax are waiting till 1 July as it’s a new financial year . Presume ffp reasons.
Who knows but there appears no doubt it will happen.
Doesn’t appear to have done himself justice with us but it’s significant that no other clubs seem to be in for him.

30 June has always been a big date particularly for european clubs, for both ffp and tax reasons.

Its only this year with World cup, specifically changing UK calendar to start transfer window on 10 June this year rather than 1 July in a normal year that has highlighted the significance of 30 June to many UK fans - but its always been there.

His goalscoring/assist record has dropped from levels at PSV whilst at Spurs. But importantly he's performed for Netherlands national team - I think its 5 goals in last 4 appearances - so the bigger Dutch teams were always going to be in for him. Although Ajax wanted to plead poverty before selling a player for 33m a week ago.....

If Ajax had not made a play for him over last 2 months (starting before end of season) other clubs would have been linked to him

but if we start going back on an already finalised deal to help everton cheat watford out of money, that cant be legal. i just cant see that being an option, its also not good for rep for us and everton as other clubs wont want to do deals in the future...which is even worse!

Fair point. His skill set perfectly suit a wing back in our system, attacking, non stop aggression ability to beat players wide. He is a lot more suited to the Prem than Gil but more of a wing back than wide forward.

Richarlison can play across the front 3. We can use him more as a striker and Gordon on the left.

I doubt Gordon happens unless Everton are in desperate need to sell.
Richarlison doesnt really play off the right. Its just with Richarlison, Gordon, Son and maybe even Perisic at a push its leaves us stacked on the left with only Kulu and a pretty average Moura on the right. Like you say though i highly doubt Gordon happens.

This Gordon talk is annoying. Stinks of time wasting.

They want winks, we want Richarlison…

They pay 10% to Watford at 40M plus so 39.9M + winks. It all seems so straight forward… (I know it’s not but adding in Gordon seems ridiculous)

Maybe it’s not as ridiculous as you think. I know you’re terrified of Chelsea but it’s all going to be sorted.

It's nothing to do with us though, I suppose if Watford kick off they could claim that Everton purposely got round the clause by lowering Richarlison's value but how could they prove what his worth is?

F-all to do with us anyway, Everton would be the bad guys here.

Did PSG sue us or Betis over Lo Celso?

They got pissy, but that's the last we heard of it.

We came to an agreement with Southampton to revise clauses to the Bale deal after the fact.

Southampton later regretted it when we sold Bale for 90m, but no laws were broken.

A player under contract is worth whatever their club deems he is worth to them..... No court would get involved in that on the basis of a 3rd party club's gripe.
