News Premier League star arrested on suspicion of rape

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Don’t be such a fucking cry baby. Someone asked if Benzema had done something like this previously someone else mentioned someone else. None of which relate to an ongoing case, or this case. It’s just nobodies (no offence) talking shit on the Internet. It’s not like it’s Robert Peston or Piers Morgan tweeting it out as if it’s fucking gospel.

So many pearl clutching wets in this thread, virtue signalling about how awful it is that we are even discussing this openly. I mean, how fucking dare we.

The vast majority in this thread are talking about what’s already out there. No one is doing anything illegal whatsoever.

It's nothing to do with virtue signalling....... Just looking out for our hosts.

So in a moment of weakness. I told a gooner maggot on Twitter who claimed that he had proven that it was a certain player to go fuck himself. I got banned immediately. Yet he remains unbanned, still on there falsely accusing people of being a rapist.

What an excellent platform Twitter is.

On a par with FB

People are allowed to talk about one of the main stories in the news, of course they are. It's no different to discussing the Prince Andrew case or the McCann's.
It's being discussed on Twitter and every other forum.. As long as people don't speculate then it should be open for discussion.
But but but ...
Prince Andrew didn't do it, 'cos he can't sweat, surely that's common knowledge?!

I see no news about the goons flying to Germany and they have released the TV dates before they have been announced on Sky.

Twitter get held responsible under publishing laws.

If I was an indie forum I'd be nervous to say the least.
Seriously? in the UK? How can twitter even operate then? There are hundreds of libelous accusations flying just on this case alone, nevermind the thousands of other controversial issues.

Awful stuff all around. Poor woman. It doesn’t matter the club of the player. Shameful disgusting behaviour if true.

That's the main thing here, if the allegation is true also

Maybe harsh but I was accused of abusing my crazy ex, she headbutt the wall out the back garden to break her nose then rung the police, thank fuck I have CCTV as evidence, not the same as rape obviously but stuff like this is horrible all way round

He literally was accused of statutory rape with Ribery. The French courts dismissed the case because there was no proof that they would know the person in question was underage. They also never admitted to sleeping with the prostitutes. I found most people on this thread have been very careful because these are serious legal matters.

The comparisons made that in the past accusations have not led to convictions in a lot of these cases. It is hard to write off the victims in most these cases as liars but Rape has an incredibly high level on the burden of proof because generally it becomes a he said she said.

I know about the Benzema one because I posted about the accusation, then someone said it was Ribery so I looked at what actually happened.

The fact is as long as you are not saying that the accused did something or imply the someone did something you are not breaking Libel. It is also better discussing something here and being careful about it than talking to people on Twitter which is filled with people who are not willing to have a discussion.
Benzema was accused not convicted. Go back and look at how it reads.

This is no proof, but I saw an Instagram post from one of the suspected players which said something like this after he married… “I know my side chicks will leave me, but that’s no problem.”

Wouldn’t exactly fill me with confidence if I was the lawyer.

An accusation is not proof of guilt. Its why I think even people sharing 'condolences ' with the 'victim' is problematic. I'm glad you had proof of your innocence. The sooner there is actual football to talk about the better.

I'm concerned that we have quite possibly met our match, boys.

The way the media has handled this is a joke. They have essentially named the player by leaving enough clues around (it’s either him or it’s a big big surprise if it’s someone else at this point!).

But we all have to pretend we don’t know who it is and in fairness we should given innocent until proven guilty. This really should have been kept out of the public eye until a decision or at least a court case starting.
