He was strongly linked with them from before the window even opened.... People were talking of him as the "Bastoni replacement".
I think Skriniar will go to PSG, and be replaced by Bremer at Inter.
We won't get Pau Torres either as he has quite similar attributes to Lenglet.
Kounde is short RCB so not the right profile, and apparently prioritises Barca.

It's all adding up to a cheeky bid for Guehi when we can ship out Rodon/Tanganga.

Just got in. Bit merry. Dunno if I wanna catch up on lots of pages so can someone give me a current squad list? Ideally they'd be listed by position in a 3-4-3 or 5-2-3 formation. Please also pay attention to the HG and club trained count so I can forget them in the next two mins.

If you're feeling frisky then I'm not adverse to hearing about our possible outgoings too.

Oooo and is there any news on Bastoni?

If nothing happenend or was heard about him or his ego its probably because nothing did happen ..believe what you like ..i dont give a fuck what you think about what hes like in your head beacuse you personelly didnt like him...have a nice evening.

We were never gonna sign two CB’s this window IMO (unless we sold Sanchez) as soon as we signed Lenglet on loan I think it was pretty clear our plan was to wait another year for Bastoni or Gvardiol. Clearly our scouts think Torres isn’t as good as those two, they’re all young and it’ll be big money so I’d rather be sure tbh. With how good Davies was now we got depth it isn’t a disaster.

As reported by Goal France, Ligue 1 club Marseille and Tottenham Hotspur of the Premier League are interested in signing Uruguay international left-back Joaquin Piquerez.

The 23-year-old defender, who plays for Brazilian club Palmeiras, is also interesting an unnamed German club say the outlet after seven caps for his country to date, all in the last year.

Capable of playing anywhere on the left hand side, and in even as a midfielder or at centre-back, Piquerez has tallied 49 appearances in all competitions for the Brazilian heavyweights since joining in 2021, scoring once and adding three assists. The left-back rose thought the ranks in Uruguay playing for River Plate (of Montevideo) and Defensor Sporting before ending up at perennial Uruguayan giants Peñarol.

A left-back is a priority for OM this summer with new coach Igor Tudor’s 3-5-2 system relying heavily on wing-backs and the Velodrome club are also considering Woolwich defender Nuno Tavares as an option in that area.

It's a funny old game, Saint when we are getting excited or deflated about back up CBs.
Not just back up (someone to come in when first choice is injured or when there is a cup game) a CB that will seriously compete for a first team place. The one who gets the nod knows that if they don't play well, there is someone that will come in and take their place.

Worth thinking about Spence for a moment, our 6th signing of the season ......... and there's another circa 46 shopping days until the end of the Transfer Window .... and this is only about 32 days after the transfer window opened.

So mathematically we should be able to get about another 8 players in - has anyone else tried signing 14 players in a season .....! :D :D :wall:

We signed 10 in 04/05
The brave new world of Santini, Arnesson and Jol.

Even if so, when you add that injection to the CL money, TV money and regular operating profit we should be able to comfortably manage a 150m net spend this summer.

Agree, difference between able to and actually doing it though. This is Levy mate...
In all honesty I’m hoping we actually use some of this money to start increasing our wage bill (starting with a new contract for Kane). We have never been shy of spending money in windows, we just refuse to buy players who command big wages. It’s players on big wages who win titles, not players who command big fees (although usually these are one and the same). I feel like with Bissouma and Richarlison we are taking steps in the right direction (already established prem players).

Ego ?.. never heard about him complaining once..you should be saying good luck.. you dont know how much those 95th and 96 minutes goals v leicster where worth to us...stop being a twat
100% he never got a sniff even towards the end of season Lucas was on first. Brighton game we needed a goal and our first sub was a defender I think. So he must have been frustrated. I always though for what we paid he wasn’t too bad.

Arguabally if you Take in the amortisation of his contract we actually made a profit on his sale.

Didnt work out for him with us but scores plenty for his national side and good luck to him .
