Transfers Summer 2022 Transfer Thread.

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Not worth the hassle.... By the time you do all the legal stuff, 2 lots of paperwork, pay agents and get bartered down a bit (unlikely Everton would just casually pay S'oton their opening price); the profit is minimal.... Plus you can't buy and sell a player in the same window, so we'd have to loan him out for the first year.
Do you mean doing the "normal" paperwork a transfer involves is not worth a profit of £10m?

PS! I just mentioned it with a pun intended. I included 2 ifs...

Maddison would be an insanely good addition. Everyone is saying we need a creative midfielder, only KDB and TAA have created more chances in the league since Maddison started at Leicester.

He also scores a lot of goals, 18 last season. He's always been the player most similar to Eriksen and he's in his prime.

Also wouldn't mind Depay at that price under 20m. He'd be 5th choice basically, no one in the league has a 5th choice that good.

Maddison and a top quality CB and I think the window is finished.

I'd like us his to have a look at Badiashile at Monaco, monster in the air (6'4) and has a power and pace that Davies and Lenglet don't offer.

Pretty solid on the ball too, good progressive passing and pass completion numbers. Carries the ball out of the back well. He's also getting better as he's just turned 21 this spring.

What about Eze or Olise?

Cost less, more versatile too.
I don't think it's a guarantee that they'd cost much less.

If the Maddison stuff is true, I think it's because Maddison would express a desire to leave and Leicester decide they need to sell because he only has two years on his contract and they are struggling financially.

I could see Palace wanting 35-40m for Olise or Eze, whereas Maddison is likely around 50m or even a little less. I don't think that's a big enough difference in price to not go for the more proven player.
