Richarlison is the signing I like the least this summer.

I get the thinking about how he provides cover for all 3 as well as playing with Kane in a 3 5 2, but I am just not sold that he is the quality many here think he is. I didn’t watch the Korean games, just the highlights and those did nothing to improve my view of him.

£60 M seems an awe full lot For him in my view.

Still hoping I am wrong though.

Bissouma, OTOH maybe the signing of the summer. That’s a player I really like and hope he can progress and fulfil the potential he showed at Brighton at a big club playing in the CL.

Perisic and Fraser bring quality but more importantly an experience to the squad. Spence an excitement and potential. Lenglet, I know nothing about as I’ve never seen him even kick a ball.

Solid window bordering on brilliant…

Our new moody prick is the one I question but I can only hope I’m wrong…..
You are

who do you think that will be?

With Lucas now considered a RWB I hope it's Maddison.
The mere fact that Conte is trying Moura at right wing back and comparing him to how he converted Moses et al, leads me to believe hes not that struck on either Doherty or Emerson. IMHO a few decent not earth shattering games at the end of the season doesnt inspire me with much confidence in Doherty, I would rather keep Emeson who is much better defensively and good in the air tham Doherty and keep perservering with Moura to make the transition.
Not many pre season games left to keep trying Moura at RWB is there? I thougt he would be good there too although Doherty has better crossing. I know he tried it against Norwich in the final game last year for a few minutes. Not much point giving him too many more minutes there now as Spence needs bedding in

It doesn't necessarily have to be that Lucas is a nailed on starter at RWB.

With 5 subs, it might just be something we use periodically for the last 20 minutes of matches.

It just gives us more options.

You can't have too many options, but it doesn't leave much time/emphasis for drilling someone into a new position when they only stand to be 3rd choice in that role (and you have just bought a young lad that you need to break in as quick as possible).

Agree with all except for the last sentence. Emerson might be better to keep from a pure footballing perspective but we could probably get 20m for him and next no nothing from Doherty… and I don’t think the difference between having Emerson and Doherty is worth 20m to us.

I don't see Royal leaving tbh. Conte included him in the pre-season squad for a reason. Even though he wasn't good last season he improved under Conte.. and I think there is more potential there. Anyway, not saying that he shouldn't leave, but I honestly think the coaches want him here.
Him and Spence offer different qualities for different games/phases.

Think Doherty might be one offered the option to move, if Spence looks good in training.

According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur are demanding a ‘frightening’ fee for their midfielder Tanguy Ndombele during this summer’s transfer window.

The midfielder made the move to Tottenham in 2019 from Ligue 1 side Lyon. They paid around £55m plus add-ons to sign him.

Ndombele struggled following this transfer as he has been regularly criticised for his performances.

The Frenchman spent the final few months of last season on loan at Lyon. He played 15 times across all competitions.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte is keen to offload Ndombele this summer as he is not part of the Italian’s plans.

Roma Giallorossa (via Sport Witness) are reporting that Jose Mourinho’s side have ‘set their sights’ on Ndombele.

It is noted that Roma chief Tiago Pinto ‘has a planned meeting’ with Tottenham director Fabio Paratici this week.

Spurs are said to be interested in Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo so a swap deal may be a possible solution.

Roma would prefer a ‘loan with a mandatory redemption’ for Ndombele but Tottenham are asking for a ‘frightening’ fee. This is while Zaniolo is valued at €50m.

Elsewhere, Djed Spence has said the opportunity to play Premier League football with Tottenham was “a dream come true” after completing his move from Middlesbrough.

The right-back signed a five-year contract with Antonio Conte’s side following a deal believed to be worth an initial £12.5million, potentially rising to £20million due to add-ons.

Spence, who is Spurs’ sixth arrival of the summer, has spent his entire career in the Sky Bet Championship, including helping Nottingham Forest to promotion last season during a successful loan switch from Boro.

“It’s amazing, I’m thankful that I’m here and that I’m going to get the opportunity to play for this club,” he told Tottenham’s website.

“It’s been a long journey in my career so far, it’s been hard at times but it’s been good as well, and I’ve been working hard to get to where I am now.

“It’s a dream come true to play in the Premier League at a big club like Tottenham Hotspur.

“As a kid, you watch it (the Premier League) from when you’re young, so it was a target of mine and I’ve finally reached it, so I’m happy.

“In the Premier League you have high-intensity, good technical players – it will be hard but I think I’m ready for the challenge.”

I dont think we are in desperate need of 20 million now and if Emerson keeps improving 20million would be cheap. Doherty will never be worth more than he is now.
