Looks as well, not just sounds.

He’s a current England U21, was in Championship team if the season, bossed Woolwich.

Overall, you must have a negative outlook (not you) not to see this as super hopeful, we just signed a first team HG RWB with Goals and Assist, forward running and dribbling ability, for £12.5m!

If he clicks he’s worth £40m by Christmas. Think he will personally, after maybe a few months learning from Conte n team.

I’m not saying it’s a bad thing.

A lot of the best players have an arrogant streak, with a young player it needs to managed though.

Tbh I think we need some more arrogance!

Now you're nothing, but a pound-shop John Thomas.

Yep so that explains why people haven’t rushed to sign him yet I guess.
Also shows people rushing to criticise our RWB transfers need for calm down. No obvious alternative.

He was on loan to Sporting. They’ve just exercised their option to buy at the end of a 2 year(?) loan period. He was literally signed in the last couple of months.

Any buying club would, presumably, have to pay his release clause. If there were such a club, City, unless they’re run by utter morons, would exercise the cheaper buyback clause and sell him on.

In which case you can't buy and sell a player in the same window and thus not a realistic option.

If it was that simple then Reguilon after a season with z Conte would be worth 70 million and be the best full back in the world.
If Gil clicks he's new Messi. Could say that about any young hyped up player.
It's a positive signing but let's not lose patience if he takes a year to settle in PL in general, another to impress occasionally and one more to become a name in the league.
Players like Spence are popping every season and only few really make it

Ill refrain from posting stuff from over there, it was meant purely for jokes and amusement as it always is, yet some on here think its a cart blanche for releasing & unloading all of their repressed anger issues on the poster (only replying to your post , not directing that at you per se  )
Nice one mate.....

:dierpochhug:

But don't let the self proclaimed forum police dictate what you can and can't post. If they don't like it they can use the ignore function. That's why it's there.

Called for Mourinho & Nuno. No regrets.

Never would turn my back on King Poch and Conte is in the ballpark too.

Jose, AVB, Ramos & Nuno. No point backing a manager when they ain’t up to the job, just delays the inevitable and makes it worse. They are football professionals not fans, they get paid vast money to deliver results.

I’m all for the signing of Spence but in an ideal world I would prefer it if he was the rotation option in the short term and get someone else to mentor him alas the persic/ sessengon situation

Sporting have literally just taken up the option on Porro and there’s no way they would sell so we would have to activate the 40m or so release clause IF the player was interested in a move (and there’s nothing to suggest he is — the latest interview I read with him suggests he’s very happy where he is.

Dest is Emerson mark 2. Another overpriced, overhyped Barca player that’s made them mediocre.

I don’t know enough about Molina to comment.
Wouldn’t have been an issue if we had moved for him early. Also we absolutely, 100% would have been able to convince him to move, both from a financial and a sporting aspect it would be a massive move to Porro.

Dest is a completely different player to Emerson (who I never rated and said many times before we signed him that he is shit whilst getting slaughtered by the disagree mob on here) Dest would be insane in a settled team under a top coach.

Molina is a beast who is probably going to be Argentina and Atletico Madrids starting RB/RWB next season. Would have immensely improved us without breaking the bank.

GLC was decent for jose for a couple months, you're massively overhyping this period. He put himself about a bit, but wasn't very effective didnt even score a league goal for us that entire season and made just 2 assists.

Literally every season Maddison has been in the prem he's performed better than those 2 months Lo celso was slightly above average for us.
These are some of the posts in the 19/20 Player of the Season thread. Granted, it was a terrible season but he was good that year when he wasn't injured. Maddison is better and has more of an attacking threat but personally (just my opinion) think if GLC was playing at another club right now we'd be clamouring ourselves to sign him. Just don't think Maddison has what it takes to go that next step to a top club, especially if we're going to change our whole formation just to accomodate him.

Gone for Lo Celso.

Wish there was an option to tell them to fuck off :dembelefingers:

Lo Celso and he has been a little off since the return but prior was by far our best player this season, infact the only positive.

no one really. GLC was the bit of inspiration. son was decent as was hugo. the rest had an aggregated mare

No one really stands out... Maybe Hugo, Lo Celso, or Son.
I want to say Hugo for his recent performance, but i really want Lo Celso to win.
It would be a huge confidence boost for him next season, and he's vital player in our midfield.

I would say it has to be one of Kane, Hugo or GLC and that says a lot about where the club is when all 3 have missed games (or in GLC's case took some games before fully integrated), Hugo and Harry dealt with inuries, GLC is adapting to the EPL and both Harry and Hugo had what would be considered average seasons for them.

My vote goes to GLC because I think he has been doing his absolute best to do the work of 3 MF with very little help.

But wouldn't be upset to see Kane get it for all his great play for the club over the years as well.

Lo Celso was really good for about 3-4 months, not sure what happened but he lost all his drive when he came back, the aggressive Argentine was passive. Just think his heart wasn’t in it in the end, that is the risk you get when signing a player from a foreign league. Maddison is for me by far the best AM we could get and one of the reasons is lack of risk.
