The vast majority of his games for Lester have been him playing through the middle.
He played just 101 EPL mins on the RW last season and got 1 assist.
Just cos he can play there; it doesn't mean it's his primary position.
The good thing is they clearly know we need some creativity. Other than Maddison though the names leave me cold, Zaniolo, Depay, Saint Maximim.

No, but he fills a role we have no one to do and allows us to play different formations when needed. That makes us so much stronger and able to rotate the squad far better.
He got a goal and assist in his last game playing on the right v Soton, and another 2 assists and goal from right v Watford.
Maybe not his primary position but has shown recently he can play there, and Chelsea are looking for similar kind of attacking players as us (after all we both wanted Raphinha).
