Best clubs in the world have the best scouting and end up with the best players. Probably that simple.Just an observation - there is a noticeable difference between players that have joined from 'bigger' clubs vs players that have joined from lesser clubs.
Bentancur, Kulu, Perisic and Lenglet - all have played for the biggest clubs around the world. Bent and Kulu have already hit the ground running and Perisic and Lenglet are already playing with confidence and look like they're going to be off to the races sooner rather than later. All four players already look like they're ready to start.
Our signings that have joined from lesser clubs (this season and past seasons) seem like they need more time to get acclimated and build confidence.
Not sure if this is coincidence or if there's a real correlation between a player's former club and confidence level when joining a new team.
Shop from the best clubs seems to lead to less risk.
Buy players from Lyon and the inherent risk is there
