It is difficult to say how hard Romero pulled his hair. So many footballers go down far too easily and I agree with Mike Dean it was not a red card offence. He was up quickly presumably unhurt and had been giving it out all match. Now it was a foul and if the match ref had seen it he would have given Chelsea a Free kick and that would have stopped our equaliser. Debateable if he would have given a yellow card. Var could not give a foul in those circumstances and therefore it is disappointing to hear that Mike Dean does not get a match this weekend implying he was wrong.
Now on the other hand Romero really will have to watch out over the next few weeks as he will be a marked man and cannot get sent off for these retaliation events. There is a difference to being a hard man than grabbing someone's hair.

I think it was a red card. If he’d done that in the centre of the pitch during open play the ref would have sent him off, he was lucky that the ref was ball watching on a corner and Mike Dean couldn’t be arsed to alert him to it.
If it were a womens match I’d expect to see a red for that so why should it be any different in a mens match?

No I know there isn’t I was being flippant, but you‘ve got the fun police on the case with “you shouldn’t wear football shirts‘ over a certain age blah,blah,blah personally I’ve no issue with how old you are, if you want to wear a football top crack on it’s not doing anybody any harm.I didn't think there was anything wrong with getting a player name on the back.
