Since last Summer, we have signed Romero, Kulusevski, Bentancur, Bissouma, Richarlison, Perisic, Spence, Lenglet, Udogi, Forster.

Of those 9, 5 can be viewed as "definite" first team upgrades, with 3 viewed as either significant squad upgrades or, should they hit their straps, can be upgraded to first team upgrades.

That is significant, and has been done with a clear plan without spending stupid money.

I do have to laugh when the perception of "pushing the boat out" seems to be paying top dollar for every player that random fans "rate."

Paying the highest price rarely equates to the best option, and ambition has nothing to do with expenditure.

I think Comte will upgrade on Moura and bring in a left sided CB if Paratici can bring those players Conte want's over the line.

I would be very surprised if he doesn't bring in a better player than Moura irrespective of players in and or out. We were close to a couple even with Winks, Gil, Tanganga, Reg, still being here.

I was responding on the the basis of numbers.......

I thought you were suggesting that we need to replace TN, GLC, Reg etc.

Nine games in October, or the equivalent of a quarter of a Premier League season in a month.

Fucking crazy, this seasons Champions will be the team with the least amount of injuries and not necessarily the best.

Good job by Paratici. Managing to sell players, given how skint most European teams are, is a tall order. At least we got salaries off the books for a year. But even if the only thing he had achieved was the Ndombele deal with Napoli, he would still deserve plenty of plaudits! I mean, that was rabbit out of a hat stuff.
 
Small bit frustrating that we can't get fees for these players, but Lo Celso, Ndombele and Reguilon are all at teams and leagues that should hopefully rehabilitate their reputations. Not sure what to make of Winks at Sampdoria.. feel like he would have done okay on loan at Everton or Bournemouth for the year.

It's one of the small negatives of Conte being so ruthless.

The fact they weren't on the pre-season tour devalued them below their actual worth.

The upside is that this ruthless culture could improve our mentality on the pitch too.
