If we're after a total pace merchant on the wing then just go get Adama .. he is at least a top tier dribbler and occassionally puts in a decent cross. James is nothing but pace, he can't shoot or cross and makes terrible decisions regularly.
Sounds like a stupid transfer to me especially when Brian Gil and is not only better but also has the higher ceiling. James doesn’t even start for fucking Leeds. And he isn’t even homegrown for the UCL, which is the requirement we’re currently struggling to meet. Doesn’t make sense

Why the fuck are we being linked to Dan James. Absolutely no upside in him. He was absolutely pants last season and was pretty useless for Utd and on to of that not HG. Is this like when Paratici rang the wrong agent and does not realise this.
Could be part of a more complex move with us sounding out availability of the player :

Not a chance do I believe Antonio Conte has gone out and handpicked Daniel fucking James and said he wants him.
If I had to bet I'd just say he'd made clear he wants another wide player if Gil leaves & this is what the club are offering.
Funny thing is that Dan James is even worse

Zaha has less than a year on his contract by the way, HG for both competitions and is 300 times the player than James. Also I’m pretty sure the club still has money to spend no? Remember the “war chest?” Unbelievable
