One of the key parts of this Window not talked about much is Ndombele, Lo Celso, Winks, and Reguilón who early in this window many on TFC thought would 'easily' raise say £100m - £150m in transfer fees.
Alas, it turns out that we can only loan them out, and in case of Ndombele and Lo Celso need to subsidise their wages.
So it was essential to get the capital injection from enic of £150m out of ENIC just before the window as we only received fees for Bergwijn and CCV of about £35m.
So with the capital injection and £35m of transfer funds we've acquired our 7 players (including loanee Lenglet) plus converted Romero's loan into a permanent transfer.
I know that the european clubs all said they had no money this summer - which is why loaning Ndombele, Lo Celso, Winks and Reguilón was the only way to get them off yhe payroll ....... but I'm not that optimistic that next summer we'll receive mega bucks for these players. And a write off from their purchase costs of £100m might be necessary. Good news is next summer we will have funds from a CL campaign, a full year of matches and non football events plus sponsorships and tv monies to fund next summer's transfer window (and any January purchases).

6/10 window for me. Squad depth improved, and a couple of big additions in Perisic and Richarlison in there. However, there are still some areas left unaddressed and they failed recoup meaningful fees on the outgoings. I can appreciate that there was a lot of work to be done, so I won’t be burning down the new stadium anytime soon, but was hoping for just a bit more.
