Tottenham’s transfer window: They did things differently, but did they do what they needed?
Have Spurs emerged from this window stronger than their rivals? Does the failure to add one more take the sheen off their early success?theathletic.com
According to the Athletic we were trying to get Zaha during the final days of the window, and will probably try again in January. Either to outright buy him or negotiate a pre-contract since his Palace deal expires in 2023.
The fans would have skinned the club if they sold Winks and Dele when they should have. I'm not saying that it would have been the wrong thing to do; quite the opposite. But think about the uproar of selling young and, at the time, proven talents. Not only that, but at that time we were still not a big attraction. So we would have had difficulty replacing them. And that would have irked the fans even more and the usual moaners would accuse ENIC of only looking to turn a profit. Were we then in the position we are now, I think it would have been different and we may have entertained a sale.we could of got 30+ if we sold him when we should of, just like dele we had to wait when it was beyond obvious they was not good enough and cost our self a fortune. probably a loss close to a 100 million by being too late to react.
why? It’s not your money.Would love Zaha here but not at the £40m+ bollocks they were quoting.

He’s in great form
After wanking 175M (incl wages) on wankers Ndombele and all Celso, 40M for Zaha looks cheap
And there may be more players willing to move after the world cup.I seriously think buying in january would be better for us than now. It might be the kind of signing we need then to kick the rest of the players on.
Devastated, how will we be able to ogle images of her in the internet now that her boyfriend who we never had any in person contact with anyhow has temporarily transferred to a club a couple of hours away???Wait, you missed this??

Spurs fans gutted Reguilon's stunning WAG Marta Diaz is leaving with full-back
Premier League flop Sergio Reguilon was joined by his stunning Spanish model girlfriend Marta Diaz as the defender signed for Atletico Madrid on loan from Spurswww.dailystar.co.uk
Did T'Athletic claim this? Because you can't negotiate a pre-contract with a player of a club in the same country as yours, only those playing in a foreign league, I would have expected the ponces there to at least be well up on rules and regs...![]()

Now I am open and will receive all kind of names and reactions... BUT...
Looking at the list of free-agents... let's say if Barkley would be filled with sporting anger to prove Chelsea wrong and would be really interested in playing (some little minutes of) Champions League football...
Would it be worst idea to offer him, idknow, say 60 kpw to get him on 3 year deal?
Our max risk would be 9,36 mEUR... and if he'd find his feet, we could maybe even sell him for similar amount after 2 years making his total cost to 0 ?!?
Most likely he can find better offer from some EPL club more desperate - Villa/Palace/Leicester/Fulham who would pay him 100 kpw or even bit more. In which case I would not consider going into bidding war.
But if he would be interested in proving himself and join for the amount I quoted - what do you guys think? Could he be worth the risk or rather not?

Is that you Steve Hitchen???
Fuck no. No PL club should be anywhere near Barkley.
To be fair I can see him doing well in Italy. They can't stand positive football.
Yep!
