Match Woolwich Scumbags v Glorious Tottenham Hotspur (1st Oct - 12:30pm)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Why do you keep mentioning bale? The guys basically retired. He was a once in a generation talent. It’s like your asking why we don’t have a player like him right now, as if they grow on trees.

I'm explaining what Great players can and often do bring. It's hardly complex.

Should we never reference Pele, Maradona, Do Stefano, Brazilian Ronaldo, Henry etc as well?

Standard bearers will always be in the discussion.

Peak Bale was a top 3 player in the world....... You were saying we can't beat the Scum away without such a player in our ranks..... That's nonsense.

I shall be in Malta for this one, if it goes ahead on the scheduled date. Like others, I hate this fixture, especially the numerous times we take the lead then let it slip out of our hands.
Unfortunately, I think that talk about their 'demise' is premature, and no matter how well/badly either team is playing, they always seem to come out on top when it's at their place.

It doesn't matter how badly they are doing, they always seem to get a result at their ground.
Admittedly our team usually helps by rolling over, but it would be nice to finally get a result there but I won't bank on it.

I hope I am proved wrong but you miss the point, not for the first time..

Player for player we are better but in Bale, he knew he was the best player on the pitch and it realy showed at times.

Kane, assuming he plays will be that player, but pound to a penny it doesn't materialise.

Expain it if you can..

(Obvs change from Woolwich to Arse-anal to view the link).

3-1-2 last 6 EPL games but our away record is poor.

a tough fixture & the form team doesn't always win, should be a great game! Predicting 2-2, will take a draw however. Sorry for sitting on the fence in my first post!!

EDIT: meant will take the draw, even though want the win!!! 🙂

Any more news on the possibility of this being chopped due to Rail Strikes?
I believe it’s not just train drivers but all signallers and track staff too which is much worse than the Wolves game.

Put it this way, I would not be surprised if we win this. We have a formidable team which have not yet reached their potential this season.
Hugo remains a great goalkeeper, Romero is class, Kulu and Ritchy are dangerous, Perisic is a rock and Harry and Sonny are, well, Harry and Sonny.
Woolwich are not going into this thinking it’s a pushover so I’m not going into this expecting to lose.

I do think we are due a 100% performance where it really clicks, will be amazing if that’s this game. I don’t underestimate them at all, they are a good side and their only major weakness is lack of depth. That won’t be a factor for this game unless something changes during intls

Saliba and Jesus are big improvements to their starting 11

I think after the Leicester game, and the significant improvement we saw after switching to a 3 man midfield, Conte must be looking at it.

The issue I see, is a lack of preparation given the international break.

If we concede possession and ride our luck with conceding chances like we have done recently Woolwich will punish us guaranteed. We either need a different formation or everyone playing out of their skin.
