Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

But what does it take to piss him off? Not buying his players. What is Levy great at? Not buying enough players.

I think Levy has done well the past few windows but I think Conte is a manager who always wants more. Levy will point to players we recently bought that are barely playing and say "Why would I buy more?"

Conte and Chelsea was a recipe for disaster. He and Abramovich didn't get on. He infamously sent a text to Diego Costa and basically told him he's not in his plans etc. Doubt we'll ever see that here.

He left Inter Milan because of financial issues. Again, nothing that's going to happen here.

I wouldn't worry myself over things that haven't happened. Conte seems happier here then I've ever seen him since he managed Juventus. Levy knows what he's got. Paratici and Conte are good friends and the players love him.

Conte is running out of clubs to manage, it's hard to see where he goes next seeing as most clubs want long term projects these days.

Spurs and Conte is actually a match made in heaven, we were desperate for him and seemingly not bothered about the long term plus we have 2 of our best players primed to win now. For him we're an underdog team not guaranteed to do well so if we flop then people will look at the club more than him and even if he wins a cup he comes out smelling of roses.

Levy doesn't have any excuse now, we have the financial means to back him and we have a DOF who know the transfer market.

Conte will be here for as long as Levy is happy to pay his massive salary.

Elite clubs dont like his style of play or his European record. We're the biggest club willing to employ him.

Only club I can see taking a punt on him is PSG but they wont pay him as much and he'll get sacked as soon as he gets knocked out of the CL. Might as well stay here.

S'funny....

Before he came here, hiring him was seen as a coup. Yet now he's here and there's been a dip in the "he'll leave; waaah!" hysteria; he's only here cos no-one else wants him.

Goalposts like underpants, you lot!

Its true though, we were terrible under Nuno and getting him did feel like a coup.

However, I really dont see any team thats bigger than us going for him.

I really don't see Madrid ever hiring Conte.

Why not?

It's not like Ancelotti is some long term project brimming with modern high-press football.....

PSG make little sense as well as their whole thing is 'Win the CL' which is the one competition Conte has been unimpressive in.

As I said: "if and when they eventually win the CL in the meantime."

In the immediate term', I agree.... Though it's not like 2 of their last 3 hires had big time CL pedigree.

I just don't see it. He has a tendency to argue with the hierarchy (never tolerated at Madrid) and he plays a style which is pretty anti galactico. Ancelotti is a pragmatist, he seems to enjoy a good relationship with big stars, they'll play on the break in big games but otherwise players are allowed to express themselves more.

I think PSG would be more likely, even in the short term. They may think his lack of CL pedigree is more bad fortune than anything else.

Other than Zidane, which managers actually have ‘CL winning pedigree’?
I don’t see them hiring Jose, Fergie or Heynckes anytime soon.

Gotta laugh at PSG ditching Tuchel only for him to win the CL somewhere else within a few months.

(#ChavCunts obv.)

Ancelotti too, but they had and sacked him off as well.

I’m pretty certain that Juventus and Inter, two of the three biggest clubs in Italy, would take him in a heartbeat.
He did walk away from both clubs though. Doesnt have a good relationship with Agnelli either.

I think he's in a much better position here and dont see him leaving. Which is good because I want him to stay here as long as possible.

Great post.
Just watched MOTD2 and Liverpool looked value for the win.
Haaland went close but didn't score.
But those figures are frightening.
