Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It ain't good enough. Well done for beating the teams we're supposed to but we've failed every big test away from home. We've ridden our luck a hell of alot this season and we are where we are down to luck and poor finishing from the opposition more than a high level of play from us. Champions league is great for the owners but I was hoping we'd be showing more in terms of being capable of being successful and winning things this year and up to this point I'm not seeing that from this manager or this team. We need to change if we want to win things. If you're happy with just challenging for top 4 then I guess everything is OK as it is for you.

Some people turning quickly. I'd have preferred a ten Hag / Potter type myself but Conte is worth running with now that we have him imo. We win lots of games and...yeah.

He's had his pants pulled down in games at Stamford Bridge, Old Trafford and the Emirates this season, and we were crap away to West Ham. Not good enough at all. Hopefully it improves.

Yes- I think 2 windows is pretty reasonable to turn a team around. Look at Utd- people said it'd take YEARS for them to get back, and after just one window, Ten Haag has them seemingly on the cusp of respectability again.
Every team around us in the "Top 6" seems to have both extreme highs and extreme lows....... But sooner or later they sort it out.

We are the only one who consistently bumbles along in a complete fuzz of mediocrity and utter predictability of what's going to happen in the big games.

Two windows - give me a break. Bear in mind, Man U spent nearly €250M in the summer which is on a completely different level to what we have to spend. We spent less than half that when you remove the Romero purchase so hardly a good comparison
I feel like having more than two windows for any manager is no given, so they better be able to do something within two windows, else there is a good chance they won't be around for a third.

It was an awful performance but we need to refrain from “Conte out” every time we lose a fucking game.

The club has come on leaps and bounds since he arrived.

He’s been here less than a year FFS….
There’s been plenty of grumbling in the games we’ve won too. Most of them against sides at bottom of the table. Just about every one of them has been like a trip to the dentist.

For me, I'm Conte In until the end of the season barring a monumental collapse in results.

I think he'll have us in the Top 4 race which is exactly where we all assumed we'd be at the start of the year. There is no one else better out there now that Potter is rocked up at Chelsea.

This is about the players in my view. These players are just not good enough. Aside from a few (Romero, Kane, Deki), they are all technically inferior. We bumble the ball around the pitch constantly and misplace fairly easy passes to feet on a consistent basis. It takes most of our players two touches to control anything. It's a fucking disgrace to the beautiful game.

The problem is if the football is shit and you lose there isnt much to get enthusiastic about. Not like we're building for the future here either Lloris 35, Davies 29, Doherty 30, Dier 28, Perisic 34, Son 30, Kane 29. So really its all on results now. I would agree though he's here now so see how the season pans out. I certainly wouldnt be handing him a £20m p/a new contract though.

We're like Barca of the late Messi era. They kept making dumb decisions but Messi bailed them out, so they never looked so horrific. Then he left, and they found themselves in EL, getting battered by frankfurt.

We're a lesser version of that with Son and Kane. From Poch final season to now, we've been getting bailed out by those two while we've persisted with the likes of Sissoko, Winks, Sanchez, Davies, Aurier, Moura etc etc.

We play counter attack because we have a team full of players who you can't trust to have the ball at their feet 90% of the time. That's basically everyone except Kane, Kulu, Romero and to an extent Bentancur.

EDIT: BTW, this is Sanchez's 6th year at Spurs 6!!!!! and Dier's 9th season.
