Not just this summer, last summer when we had the worlds most embarrassing manager search, they were spending over 100 million on first team players to improve their starting xi. And they spend another 100 million this summer.

It sort of seems like Perisic is the only signing from the summer that Conte actually wanted. Maybe Richarlison too. Unfortunately, it also seems like his legs have gone a bit (Perisic that is).
He basically told the world that he didn't ask for Spence, it certainly shows.
Lenglet is on a par with Davies, I couldn't tell you Conte's first choice is out of the two. Not the upgrade he wanted.
Bissouma has hardly played, when he has it's been mostly underwhelming.
I'll be surprised if Conte sticks around for another summer window. Enic deserve all the stick they get for the fact that Dier and Davies are still regular starters.

It is their prerogative.
Whether other fans regard it as reasonable or otherwise is a different question and entirely a matter of perspective.
