Everton too tbf. Everton was probably the perfect example of killing off a game through retaining possession.Only against Brighton did I have the feeling we were in control of a match.
Dominating possession, having lots of goal opportunities, and pressing the opposition into their shells.
Luckily we're playing Bournmouth next, if we can beat them then we might go into the WC break in 3rd but I doubt it.Everton too tbf. Everton was probably the perfect example of killing off a game through retaining possession.
Granted Everton themselves let us have the ball a lot, but in the second half they barely got a kick of the ball.
I don’t even pay mind to stats like that.Counter attack football in the form of stats, big fucking deal and I'm tired of people perpetuating this myth as if we're struggling in matches and nothing worse that Spurs fans actually buying into this nonsense, honestly this is Woolwich fan properganda.
We play a different style to the majority of Premier League managers, so what - it doesn't mean we're not in control of matches, don't let the media run the narrative how of football should be played, just because it's different doesn't mean it's wrong
3-4 windows patience padawanLuckily we're playing Bournmouth next, if we can beat them then we might go into the WC break in 3rd but I doubt it.
In general we're looking like a sketchy team ''who got results even when they were playing badly''.
We're nearly 1/3 through the season, when will we start playing well then?
I think these days teams need to play this way. Players and teams are all better than they have ever been and when you try and sit back and defend for 60-70 minutes it makes it extremely difficult to win.Dominating possession, having lots of goal opportunities, and pressing the opposition into their shells.
In other words what most teams have done to us this season, let's face it, we've been playing with our backs to the wall and only won matches due to set pieces etc so often.
We look incapable of breaking teams down, we are also full of individual errors.
When we pass the ball about at the back I'm peeping through my fingers waiting for the next fuck up in front of our own goal.
not to mention soul crushing watching turgid backpasses and sideways passing for 70 minsI think these days teams need to play this way. Players and teams are all better than they have ever been and when you try and sit back and defend for 60-70 minutes it makes it extremely difficult to win.
I think the quote from Conte was ''At least 3 - 4 windows''.3-4 windows patience padawan
all things good come in time, just not with us
Yeah... I'd much rather lose 4-3 than watch the shit I've been forced to sit through the last month. Even the wins aren't as fun.not to mention soul crushing watching turgid backpasses and sideways passing for 70 mins
almost there just 2 more yearsI think the quote from Conte was ''At least 3 - 4 windows''.
So if he sticks around we'll be playing ''free flowing attractive football'' in 2024? Or sometime later...
So it's like Conte says ''I have this very successful way of winning but your players are shit Daniel, so you;ll have to wait at least 2 years to see any success, but don't think that includes ''freeflowing attractive football''.almost there just 2 more years
watching the same, can we survive the torture
lets see if levy will actually back a manager when it matters then because i have yet to see itSo it's like Conte says ''I have this very successful way of winning but your players are shit Daniel, so you;ll have to wait at least 2 years to see any success, but don't think that includes ''freeflowing attractive football''.

Apart from Romero we need the whole back line including WBs replaced, and it's time for a new goalkeeper even though Lloris has saved our arses during narrow wins and draws so far this season.lets see if levy will actually back a manager when it matters then because i have yet to see it
So you like the low block counter attacking football and the sideways passing? Yes it would be good to pass it out of defence but we don't have the players to do that, so Conte needs to adapt until said players are in place. 2024Everton, Southampton, Fulham?
And I think your complaints should be about the quality we have as opposed to the style of play.
I think we've struggled a bit this season but we saw how effective Conte ball can be last season.
I don't actually have a problem with the style, it's the execution which has let us down.
I can't be the only one thinking that has 0-0 written all over it right???Luckily we're playing Bournmouth next, if we can beat them then we might go into the WC break in 3rd but I doubt it.
