Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Don’t care if I get killed for this… the sooner Conte fucks off to Juve the better. This is as joyless as it was under Jose.
You seriously think another manager could do better? Conte's a proven winner. Have you not watched our squad play recently or the few years before with various other managers? ... Sacking another manager - someone from everyone's account who loves, breathes and sleeps football and is more passionate about winning / competing than anyone in the entire club would be the absolutely worst thing we could do.

It’s starting to look like it’s all about Conte. The guy gets rightful praise for what he’s achieved so far with us, but instead of driving the best from our squad, he’s now throwing a fit over our supposed lack of depth, undermining and depressing the broader First Team, and putting the nerves on everyone. We’re getting worse and worse each week. The bloke seems like a spoilt, noisy toddler at times, demanding all of the most expensive toys before being able to play. Is he even trying to grow and improve new players or young squad players?

Tonight?

Got any links?

All I heard was him having a dig at the officials.......

His lack of respect and stuborness over Spence and Gil in particular is really poor management. If we end up selling them its a joke. Whats the point in buying young players if he just throws a moody because they're not some grizzled 29 yr old multiple trophy winner.

We've literally only signed one player that fits that description and 90% of the people here were well keen on him!

Kulu, Benta, Biss, Richy all 25 or under.

Well my pseudo science spotted it before your pseudo “figures” did. You had to wait for a bad result to knock you upsides the head.

Maybe, just maybe, instead of being a hyperbolic blow hard, just fucking pay attention next time and you might learn something and not always be so far behind me in spotting stuff.

Genuinely funny 😆

LOL 😂

We are third in the league and likely progressing to the champions league top 16. After getting 4th against all odds having zero (zero) depth.

What exactly must a manager do to earn your trust?

Well not set up a team to perform like we did in the first half for a start and we’ve been playing like that for most of the season tbf despite grinding out the odd result

We’re close to the end now thank god. Even the most deluded Conte fanboys are starting to see that he just isn’t a good fit for this club.

We missed out on Ten Hag, then Potter. So we have to swallow our pride and get Poch back.

We have a good 3-5 years of building to do.

Conte out.

I appreciate what you’re saying but not sure that Poch would be a good fit now as he wouldn’t have the side that he had in 2016/17 and he still didn’t win anything then

Like usual the truth is half way. Unlike Jose, Conte is capable of coaching attacking football, but it seems like we’ve been playing with the brake on the last few weeks. I think he can get us higher up the pitch. But also the players have been shite. The second half against Newcastle and first half today has nothing to do with Conte.

It’s not about trust. I just don’t like the man. He’s not a likeable person. His football belongs in the 80s and I don’t trust a man who has to hide under a wig.

Football is ultimately about entertainment. I hate our football under Jose Conte.

Conte getting us top four last season was a miracle with a huge slice of luck from Woolwich bottling it.

There is no doubt that we are in a much better place than we were when he took over.

That said, it's fair by now to expect us to be playing better football and acting more like one of the best teams in the league on a more regular basis.

No doubt Conte is still hamstrung by a sizable chunk of average to poor players clogging up the squad but he is not infallible. He has shown stubbornness with both his system, approach to rotation and favouritism.

I think we just have to wait out this choppy period and once the duds and the average old guard are faded out we can be a top team under Conte.

Yes to an extent.

Part of the issue is also the messaging that Conte and his coaching team are giving. Has to be.

We need to be a bit less passive and to bare our teeth more readily.

You can't dictate or explain Son's lack of goals this season, which either masked some deficiencies in the squad or easily deal with Kulusevski's injury. Both limit our potency if not our style of play.

I don't think Conte is yet moaning about a lack of squad depth or being backed. To do either would be perverse and I understand the January importance, if it's practical.

But Conte must extract more from the current squad because any manager, high grade as Conte is or average, has to add value..

We should have beaten Sporting last night, based on the whole game and should not have lost to Newcastle Against Woolwich, having weathered the early storm, taken control for a while only to see us wither in the second half, is as much if not more on Conte.

Bournemouth and now next Tuesday represent big moments. Let's hope we are collectively good enough to get what we need.
