He has to start getting ruthless. Emerson has to come out of the team. Replace him with Doc, Lucas, Spence, Emerson, it doesn’t matter. He has to come out.

So here’s my reasoning. You say ‘Hakimi and Bastoni would turn this into a Conte side’.
The problem is, we’re not going to buy Hakimi and Bastoni. The fucking fossils that run this club will never, ever support a manager like that.
I think our only chance to see some sort of exciting football is a manager that will take a chance on youth (the likes that ENIC will shell out for) and play a high pressing, aggressive style of football.
I’m not ‘blaming’ Conte (although his hard on for Emerson can fuck off). I’m actually more irritated with a board that insists on signing chequebook managers (not a criticism) and then refuses to write the exceedingly large cheques that are necessary.
Also, the football is fucking awful.

Absolutely nailed it. The managers we appoint and the players we buy dont match. Appoint Conte then get him the likes of Barella, De Jong, Hakimi etc. Sign youngsters and steady prem players then get a manager that can build something from the ground up. We fall in between 2 stools. However there is just no excuse for the level of football, the negativity (until we're losing) and making us look like Burnley. He still has some credit in the bank from last season but its all just a bit joyless and i cant really see where we're heading. .
I don't want no fancy Italian with hair plugs, I don't care how much he has won in his career, I care about losing with style!

Conte has a title winning team here with quality all over the pitch and world class players on the bench, we should be winning the CL and PL at a stroll, banging teams for 6 goals a game, this league is easy!
I say we get Potter in and build a team from the ground up, sell Kane and Son and start playing with youth, maybe get some under 12's in our team so we can really build a philosophy for the future (plus it saves us some money incase we still want the cheese room!)

I've told it before .... but people still seem to forget that this was the kind of football Conte also played at Chelski, Inter and Juve; ie.e. counter-attacking football.
It was this kind of football that brought Chelksi success under both Mourinho and Conte. And Conte won't change his style to please the fans - as long as he believes this is the way to win games he will keep on playing his system. For him, it's all about winning and not the style.

I don't think we are spoilt asking him not to play Royal and give a young lad a chance over him, when Royals proven he's gash. And we know we are a few players short of being a top team but that's no excuse to keep picking the same gash each week.
He must know it's shit also cause everytime we are losing he takes the offender's off and we look a better team for it
Today we could have started 3-4-3 with Spence and Gil on the right and we likely wouldn't have been 2-0 down and needing to make 4 subs to claw 3 goals against let's face it a championship side
That would be valid if we had control of games and won dull games 1 or 2-0 not giving the oppo a sniff. I wouldnt neccessarily like it but i could understand it. But every game is seat of the pants , its basically toss a coin for win, lose or draw. We leak a ton of goals, ridiculous amounts of chances and have become almost totally reliant on set pieces to score goals. Yes we're 3rd and yet our best result of the season was Brighton away. Of the 4 good sides we've played we've lost 3 and got a very fortunate draw at Chelsea.

If you are going to be ONLY about the results then you best be getting the results a little more comfortably than an injury time winner at plucky Bournemouth after the week we've had.

The two aren’t mutually exclusive.
It’s not a choice between turgid shit to try and limp into fourth or attractive but fragile football that sees us brushed aside.
We played our best ever football (PL era) with a team of youngsters that pressed teams remorselessly. And we were dirty cunts that fouled anyone as soon as they crossed the half way line.
