It was yeah,

I edited my original post (before I saw this) which explains my question better ;

i.e, if we back him with the players he wants, he'll be more likely to stay.

The flip-side is "he wants to win now; not it in 5 yrs time..... He's not a project manager..... He's gonna leave! Wah!"

......You won't win mate.

Fella wants Poch back and thinks he can wish it into happening.

I

I've absolutely no idea to be honest.

Every time we're after a manager his name gets linked.🤷
IIRC Poch was asked to sign a new contract at PSG and that put an end to our interest, and then Levy came out and said something about regretting not backing and sacking him, and Poch saying he'd like to return to Spurs one day etc etc etc....

.... so IMO as he's now a free agent, if Conte were to leave he would be high up in the list of proposed replacements.

If Levy really wants him back, I don't think he'd be going all out to get Conte to sign a new contract.

I think Levy would have Poch back if Conte doesn't sign up a new contract at the end of the season, if Poch is still available then and doesn't have a new team to manage elsewhere.

I'm not suggesting that Levy would sack Conte to employ Poch but rather if the circumstances presented themselves.

I actually think Poch coming back if Conte doesn’t extend could be a great thing. Don’t you wonder if Poch could get a tune out of this squad where Conte is clearly struggling? I think Conte’s System is too rigid.

We rarely go through the middle of teams like we did under Poch, we are obsessed with getting it wide and crossing. And that’s not because of the CE, Poch tactics mixed it up so we became a hard team to plan for.
