Match Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool | 6 Nov 2022 | KO 16:30 | Second Half Match Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Passive first half as usual. Liverpool will
look world-beaters. If they score more than one game over . No shots on target for us.
Second half
Hopefully they are just 1up, look for a resurgence of energy as we go out for an equaliser.

Please Please Please can we not be negative for 45mins ,

Time to rest Son , he is a shadow of his full ability. Moves constantly break down with his poor touch, running in dead ends and little threat on goal.
Maybe as a late sub with space to play in .

If we continue our pattern of only playing in the second half, think I'll stay in the Shelf Bar until then!
Worried about our growing injury list, and also how the players going to the World Cup are going to play. I'll wait and see what the team is before making any comment on formation/tactics............ as if! ;)
One thing is an absolute nailed-on cert - if you stay in the Bar until half time, we'll play the first half like demons and score five or six goals. So go for it!

We're potentially down to proper bare bones for this. Bentancur and Hojbjerg were fucked come the final whistle, Son won't be available if it was a concussion, and I don't think we'll see Romero, Deki or Richarlison this side of the World Cup.
Good thing is we have 4 days off between the games. Good thing about playing Tuesday and then a Sunday.

PEH will be good to go and it seemed like Bentancur had a tweak rather than a tear, so he could be possible. If not, we'd still have PEH, Skipp, Bissouma.

We are definitely hurting at winger though. Shame about Son, as he could really punish TAA and his lax defending.

If we went for their jugular, we'd kill them.

However, it's more likely that this ends up being Liverpools best performance of the season.
Its sad that I agree with this while also understanding that Liverpool thrashed Bournemouth 9-0 this season

Assuming Son & Bentancur are missing.....
Hugo
Rom / Dier / Davies
Doh ------ Skipp------Sess
Biss------PEH
Kane / Perisic

You might be right on Bentancur

But he ran 50 yards to celebrate with Hojbjerg scoring that late goal about 10 minutes after being substituted.

Not sure he'd have been able to do that if his hamstring had gone....... and he's got almost 5 days between the Marseille match and the Liverpool match to recover from general fatigue issues

If he is available then it's a bonus...... I'm just assuming the worst cos Spurs.

Son's having surgery so safe to assume he's out.

I wonder would Richy get himself fit for minutes vs the old enemy?

Richarlison and Kane in a 2 would be nice.
