Is he the same one who has been shite in nearly all the games he has played. Other then Bournemouth how many goals and assists has he contributed?
Even compared to perisic let alone any other top wb

You do realise Perisic was up with the most productive WBs in Europe last season?

For ref - Last season:
IP = 10G/9A > 19
TAA = 2G/19A > 21

This season:
IP = 0G/7A > 1083 mins
TAA = 2G/0A > 1263 mins
Sess = 2G/0A > 749 mins

What are you basing that on?
OK Amsterdam was a freak, but all 3 goals were quality finishes. All scored from central areas. Since then he's mostly played out wide, and rarely gets into positions to score. Few chances, few goals, but still a decent finisher the rare time he gets a chance.

Looking at the stats, he's a slightly above average finisher (scores slightly more than his xG). Nowhere near Kane/Son level, but much better than, say, Gabriel Jesus (scores way less than his xG).

I think if he plays up top with Kane, running onto his flick ons and through balls, he can be a threat, certainly more than he is out wide.

He's inconsistent but he clearly has some incredible skills.

I’m well confused now. Shouldn’t we all be posting in the first half match thread, until it’s actually the second half?

Or do those who need a good moan or fancy an argument head over there, and the glass-half-full, happy clappers stay here?

Premier League: 10 things to look out for this weekend

3) Time Gil got a go

Since signing for Spurs the summer before last, Bryan Gil has yet to start a game in either the league or Champions League. There’s a strong chance he hasn’t earned the right to – Antonio Conte sees him in training every day, and the chances are that he knows slightly more about football than those of us reading and writing these words. But though Conte’s preference is for brutal automatons, Gil’s cameo against Sporting last week showed his willowy unpredictability is something that Spurs lack and, given the unfortunate injuries suffered by Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison, Conte has a decision to make. The conservative option would be to flank Harry Kane with Ivan Perisic and Lucas Moura, but if Perisic plays wing-back with Gil in front of him on the wing, this would give Spurs an extra attacker and also allow the two of them to gang up on and exploit the space behind Trent Alexander-Arnold. Other way round too. Kane running onto Lucas' flick ons. He's extremely good in the air and it drives me nuts that we so often don't play to our players' strengths. He's not a tall player but gets up extremely well and should be used for flick ons way more.

I don’t really understand the criticism of Moura. However he is a playing he is capable of running and beating players and winning free kicks, beating players and most importantly opening the game up. It’s quite difficult to follow Jamie O’Hara’s views cause there all over the place.

For Sunday, we need the 3 central midfielders fit. If one of them is out i.e Bentancur then we are struggling BUT Kane and Moura up front more than capable of doing well. Just feels we are limping through to the World Cup now with our injury situation if Kulu and Richarlison not available.

See this is where XG and all those things completely confuse me and feel almost nonsensical.

Lucas last 5 years has averaged 1 goal every 7 and a bit matches, Gabriel Jesus has averaged a 1 goal just under every 3 marches.

Are we saying from the Data that if Man City and Woolwich had had Lucas instead of Gabriel Jesus, he'd have scored more goals than Jesus did?

If that's what the XG suggests then I'd be amazed.

Lucas has had 143 matches with us and scored 19 goals.

That's pitiful no matter what the XG stats say.
