bus-conductor bus-conductor didnt you rate him?

He's not top draw, but I like him more than Richarlison, especially at a fifth of the price.

He'd give us the same kind of remit, wide left inverted forward or CF. He's probably a better carrier/dribbler than Richarlison, equal/slightly better finisher. Big strong lad who can move with the ball, makes and scores goals and is half decent technically.

There are better quality options out there for this remit (people like Nkunku, Leao, Kvaratskhelia, Moukoko) but for 10m, we couldn't go far wrong - and I'd much rather take a punt on him at that price than people like Terrier, Carrasco, Zaha.

Sounds pointless signing him when we already have Richarlison ... seems like it would've been an instead of choice rather than as well as.

With Richy we've already got the physical/pressing player, if we go for another attacker it's got to be someone with craft for me. Kulu needs help creating chances because if it isn't him then nobody else is doing it.

I feel like Mount is a bit more advanced, and Loftus-Cheek has been horrible from the few games I've seen of Chavs. Hopefully Fernandez fails, however they're strengthening without hesitation in positions they need to strengthen, while we won't pay a fraction of their spending for a player we desperately need.
Yep. Certainly true that Tottenham won’t pay…

Again- you miss the point- 127m is obscene - they are singlehandedly inflating the entire transfer market. I am willing to bet they could have gotten him for 80m with a bit of negotiating.

100m for a top attacking talent maybe, but 127 for a DM who is already 24? It's un freaking real.
You could be right, but they obviously weighed up the pros and cons of saving 30 odd million against not having him for a month/being gazumped by another team and decided he was worth it.

Enzo Fernandez has just turned 21 btw, not 24.

I agree, some quality, craft and intelligence is what we need most, but that's going to be harder to find and cost more.

I don't mind Thuram for 10m. Right now, he'd give us more than Son as well as Richarlison. Still leave plenty in the kitty for quality options if they are possible.

We haven't got Richarlison at the moment because he's injured and we may have to start thinking about replacing Son if his form doesn't improve. I'd hate to lose him but we can't ignore the reality of the situation.

its not hard to get into the spurs back 3, but ive never seen vrij or at least looked out for him is he actually any good? or is it just a case of being better that dire which is hard not to be?
He is solid, very experienced, able to lead and command, very no frills but very astute clever player too, not the fastest but not the slowest either... other defenders especially younger ones could defo learn from him.

He just completely made up that he was 24 to make his argument stronger.

I wouldn’t play 110 million for Enzo, but he is a great player with a great future (and present).

I know players get overvalued on account of their performances in the WC, but I wonder how often that happens for a player that actually won the WC and performed very well in the knockout rounds, including the final?

We are of course out of the title race and are now locked in a battle for 4th. I am not convinced our best players and indeed our coach have the fight and desire to give 100% to simply finish 4th.

Signing a couple of squad players isn't going to solve this. The dressing room at this point is rotten, unmotivated and resigned to mediocracy. We need an elite leader to pick these chumps up and kick them up the arse.

I didn't make it up- but I do think I found the wrong Enzo Martinez on transfermarkt.

It's fair to say, our squad is looking rather fragile atm. Kulu is not even our player! This won't be fixed in this window; or the next. Summer 24 maybe; by which time Kane on Son will be drawing their pension.

For Sale
Ndombele
Lo Celso
Winks
Reguillon

No future at club beyond this season

Apparently we aren’t going for pedro porro now
We don’t want to do a Wigan , oh hang on , with the tiniest of fan bases and Martinez as manager win the FA cup that is , Of course they crashed and burned they are a div 2 size club , but Dave Whelan as chairman has a better trophy haul than Levy and Whelan has been gone for ages. They are a rugby league town , football is very much second fiddle to rugby.

ENIC apoLogists will say but they got relegated , of course they did I admit that , they are tiny . But it is factually correct they have won a more prestigious trophy than Spurs under Levy. Wigan bloody Wigan have an FA cup to our Carling Cup

Probably should have stuck this in the ENIC thread
