The thing is, Spurs are not a big club. We are trying to get into the big boy club, without spending vast amounts of money.

We over achieved during the Poch years; which was largely due to United, City, Liverpool, Woolwich all going through major squad and coach overhauls. This has set an unrealistic expectation that we are 'entitled' to be top 4 and title contenders.

Levy is very well respected and has influence with FIFA. Spurs best hope is that he can use this to push through changes to financial rules to prevent over clubs spending their way to success.

If we want to continue to be frugal with transfers, I would seek to recruit elite coaching staff for the youth and development squads; so we can develop top players rather than buy them. Imagine the good that Bielsa could do with our academy.
Interesting take. But I think whether you are enic in or out, we can all agree we want to improve the youth development side of things. Love a good youngster coming through. No reason we shouldn’t have a decent back up young homegrown keeper for example.

The sanctimonious waffle is god tier in this thread.

If you can't see why ENIC have to go at this point you are a fucking tool.

I don't care if you have excellent diction and an impeccable use of the Kings English.

Incidentally be wary of anyone who has to proclaim their own intellectual might while jizzing all over a forum.

Needless to say ENIC OUT!

If ENIC does indeed sell, it's unlikely to be a middle Eastern nation, buying a Jewish club.

Most likely will be another american ownership, with an NFL franchise.

Be careful what you wish for!

Tottenham is not a Jewish club but has Jewish owners and arguably 5% who have some Jewish identity.
Some/many use "Yids" as a form of unity and defense against rivals racial slurs .
Another quarter century of these amateur wide boys will suck any soul out of the club.
Tottenham was founded by the clergy in Northumberland Park hence Hotspurs .

I'm definitely not wishing for a Saudi or Qatari purchase.

So it would then be a US investment group - who seem to be taking over the Prem.

Glazers at United.
Kroenke at Woolwich.
Boehly at Chelsea.
Henry at Liverpool.
Edens at Villa.
Khan at Fulham.
49ers group at Leeds.

Liverpool, Woolwich and United haven't been over the moon at their US owners.

Should we be proud that Spurs are one of only 3 clubs in the Prem with ENGLISH owners?

I mean you've cut the quote off at a convenient point.

There's lots of ENIC in posters who frequently call people stupid in that thread. You're not one of them, but they exist. One of them decided to use learning difficulties as an insult. Is that not acting like a wanker? I'd say it is.
Plenty of cunty and sanctimonious behavior on both sides of this argument. And elsewhere in the forum too.

It’s not beyond the Out side to say “anyone who thinks ENIC should still be here is a cunt” or casting aspersions on their supporting credentials.

Don’t think there’s any room for anyone to throw stones at the other side for their bad behaviour.

Well, it's been some time since a well known member posted an opportunist poll on the matter. Just after Antonio Conte miraculously dragged his rag-tag of a squad into the Champions League at our bitter rivals expense.

I think around 80% were understandably living in the moment and voted IN, but it will be interesting to see how, if at all, opinion has shifted in the intervening months.
I wish ENIC would start their own team and their fans can fuck off and cheer for them every week.
Imagine chants of "he's one of our own" as Levy runs out for the first time.

But it's only the "ENIC in" crowd that are throwing the insults around eh?

I have had at least ‘7 or 8 enic in’ posters tell me they are better fans than me & other ‘enic out’ posters.

Is there a correlation between the last few remaining posters still defending the bald prick, and either living abroad and or never going to a game? Try forking out £100’s for a match day, investing 8-10 hours and still backing this failed fraud
Jeff Goldblum What GIF by The Late Late Show with James Corden

Poll in May 2022 showed ENIC IN by a whopping 80/20 split.
2021. ENIC out 76/23
2020 50/50

It’s like the Hokey Cokey

If anything I think this shows not everyone knows what they want (obviously some clearly do know!!). Just that spurs proper fuck with our emotions.

There's also a lot of Enic out posters who frequently insult the other side.

Each side is as bad as the other and to pretend one side is better than the other is silly.

Not really, unfortunately. Lewis is up to dodgy stuff all over the world anyway.
I think most have accepted that the PL is now an international tournament hosted in English cities.
