Mate, I would urge you not to waste your time on him. Put it on ignore and move on. There's plenty who hold similar views to him who are more capable of sometimes heated but generally inoffensive and interesting debate.

That isn't really the full truth but there.
But would we have even been involved in a super League prior to ENIC's takeover? Or would we still have been sitting in mid/lower end of the table winning 1 League cup every 12 years or so? Not too dissimilar to what we do now.
We could postulate that Mike Ashley bought the club off Sugar and we stayed in mid table for the past 20 years and did an Everton. That's one possible alternative universe.
Another is that an Abramovich bought the club and we had a couple of league titles to our name.
We can both speculate what might have been.
But lets just look at the reality of what ENIC actually delivered.
They delivered us a state of the art stadium and training facilities. But absolutley fuck all glory on the pitch.

But Mike Ashley. had he taken over us would not have done as brilliant job as ENIC, likewise the Everton owners as you only have to look at their history at their own clubs... so credit were credit is due to Levy.
The trophy argument is really very pointless, take a look at the previous posts with regards to trophies and you'll find that not many clubs other than the obvious ones win anything. Just a few examples of teams currently in the league, can't be bothered to go through them all
Evertons last trophy - 1995
Aston Villa - 1996
Newcastle - 1955
West Ham - 1980
Leeds United - 1992
Crystal Palace - 1994
The list is endless but apparently its only Tottenham that don't win trophies

Woolwich - can't argue with their history
Liverpool - Same
Man City - money
Chelsea - Money
The only real exception was Leicester who massively lucked out, you can't tell me their board planned for a Premier League win, so I wouldn't call their owners a raging success.
I'm not even gonna worry about clubs who have won lucky cups i.e Wigan, Birmingham etc as they are now playing in the lower leagues. Hardly call that a success.
I can go one better, looking at the fixture list and consulting my handy crystal ball and cross referencing with the amount of fucks given by the players in the Villa game.
