Match Tottenham Hotspur v Woolwich Scum (15th Jan - 4.30pm)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Lloris
Romero - Dier - Lenglet
Doherty ----------------- Perisic
Hobby -- Biss
Kulu -- Kane -- Son
Team picks itself apart from who partners Hobby, assuming Bentancur is not back.

Reasons for optimism:

1. Conte has a whole week to prepare with the squad. This usually means good things.

2. We found some attacking form in our last match vs Palace and also, finally, a settled back 5

3. Woolwich will not have good memories of this match from last year and not sure any of their squad have won in N19 (last win was 2015)

4 Pressure is ramping up on Woolwich/Arteta. Newcastle game showed their lack of options in attack, and City beating Chelsea also helps. Struggling to get their top January transfer targets too. I feel they are ready for a wobble.

I don’t think they’ve even won in N19, mate ;)

But as for N17, absolutely none of the current squad know what victory tastes like. In actual fact I don’t believe any of their current squad have played for Woolwich in the Champions League (I think Lacazette was the last player to do so) never mind beaten us at home.

Their last victory at our place is coming up to nine years ago. And just to add some context to just how long ago it was, Rosicky (remember him?) scored the only goal of the match.

Hugo
Romero - Dier - Davies
Doherty - PEH- Sarr - Bissouma - Perisic
Kane - Son

If we need a 3-man mid or we’ll get overrun.

First time in a few years we will be going in to this match at home at least in overall poorer form. Personally would be happy enough with a draw but really hoping we find our form need some of the injuries to have cleared up obviously .

Then moments later Hugo (naturally) let one through this fingers.

The time between Kane scoring this goal and Sanchez equalising due to Hugo's howler were the only fifteen minutes that we sat top of the league that season .... yet we were called bottlers for not winning it.

That's why, to me, it will be especially sweet if the Scum throw it away this season, having been top for so long.
