Sounds genuine!
Could be wrong!

explain how it isn'tAh yes, because the money coming from Joe Lewis is very morally earned.
He did nothing illegal, he simply took advantage of a developing situation. He didn't precipitate it, he was just smart enough to take advantage of it.He & Soros collaborated to crash the pound, causing a lot of people in the U.K to lose out. He made a fortune from it, hence fucked over his own country. Oh, and go read what he's up to in Argentina right now. He now sits on a yacht in the Bahamas avoiding taxation, because he definitely needs to horde all that extra money.
It's not my imagination at all, because he's a multi-billionaire & people don't become multi billionaires by paying their workers a fair wage, they do it by exploiting the labour of others to enrich themselves. This is true of practically all of them.
You're such a hypocrite. Gladly lapped up the World Cup & joined in with making fun of boycotters. A tournament which people actually died to make happen. If you were genuinely moral rather than just someone who has ENIC'S cock rammed down your throat, you'd have joined others in not taking part in the World Cup. You did, so any shit you say about Qatar is just hypocritical nonsense and I will be ignoring it from now on.
I separate politics & football, I'm aware we have terrible people as owners now (I fundamentally don't believe billionaires should exist) & I'm aware we will always have terrible owners, but I'm not going to give up on the sport/my club because of that. Pretty simple to understand, and it means I don't go around pontificating like you do.
Fuck off you turd and give your bollocks a rest .

I hate it when wankers re-write history out of a massive deficit of reasonable intelligence, to simply justify their own ignorance.
FIFA awarding the World Cup to Qatar was wrong. Qatars attempt to improve their reputation failed. Infantino’s attempt to protect their reputation was the subject of widespread derision. A decision to boycott the World Cup did absolutely nothing. The World Cup would happen and then that’s it… poof, people will move on after a month and think that was a weird aberration. (Edit: for what it’s worth I have advocated for European nations to secede from FIFA if real changes aren’t brought - change would come quick then). He & Soros collaborated to crash the pound, causing a lot of people in the U.K to lose out. Something not being illegal does not equate to moral. I'd expect someone who dares to talk about somebody else's 'deficit' of intelligence to understand the difference, but I guess not.
I have no interest in engaging with you on this as I imagine it would be like banging my head against a brick wall, much like the 'discussion' on how we dealt with COVID, where you essentially ignored every point made and just continued with the 'oh boris invented covid did he LOL' crap.
So go ahead and knock yourself out.

That is not true of Qatar owning a club. For one, it contributes to long term instability in the game, distorting the transfer market at the top and harming the whole football period (as I’ve explained to you, but you chose to ignore). That is the greatest evil and it doesn’t exist in the context of a World Cup. As people are beginning to acknowledge in here, the effect of countries owning clubs is that well-run teams who rely only on their own skill are no longer able to compete. Sport IS competition. So the effect of this type of ownership destroys the sport.
A second far less important difference is that you likely will contribute money and praise to the owners if they bring success which is the kind of direct contribution that does not exist for a World Cup. If England did well at the world cup you would have bought an England shirt and praised Southgate. You wouldn’t have congratulated Qatar. I suspect for many that will be different if Qatari ownership were to bring success.
There are some clear differences that don’t involve pretending that we can switch off our morality. And also that acknowledge that even ignoring moral concerns, this will contribute to the decay in competitiveness of the British and European game. All that to win a few trophies? No thanks. Not at my club.
I explained in that post the difference. Read it? Engage with it? You’re just handwaving. Oh, and making false claims that I « love » ENIC. Silly rhetoric reminiscent of right wing populists. Play the ball rather than inventing bogeymen. The decision to stop supporting Spurs would do absolutely nothing either, so who cares?
The greatest evil is how Qatar's ownership impacts a sport? Lol. Their building of stadiums killed workers, that's the greatest evil. You're either vehemently against them or accept them as part of the world and that they've been invited to the table. You can't have your cake & eat it. Enjoying the tournament they put on to sportswash isn't any better than supporting a team they own at all.
Anyway, more moral pontificating & pretending the anti-Qatar sentiment here which didn't exist whatsoever during the World Cup is anything more than a shield for ENIC because you love them. It's very transparent and quite dull.
The fact you can’t avoid is that this type of ownership is killing the golden goose and destroying fairness and competitiveness in our game. That you could welcome this type of move because you hope to privately benefit is ironic because it’s very close to the mindset you accuse Lewis of having around Black Wednesday. Like the ESL, it is killing the game. It’s short term thinking and counterproductive. I care about football more than I care about spurs.
For balance you should also admit the “fucked over his country” bit is tabloid at best and fabricated at worst. Making a bet that the pound will fall is what thousands of traders do day and in and out, and you don’t label them traitors.
Asking someone to explain a baseless accusation is shit stirring is it?Fuck off you turd and give your bollocks a rest .
Nobody wants your shit stirring crap .
Correct. For the reasons I gave. Qatar faced criticism and watching the world cup at home didn’t bring any additional revenue to the country. I predict that if Qatar or similar owned Spurs then:The """differences""" you identify are nothing more than convenient excuses. None of them wash or are in any way convincing. By watching the event where all eyes are on Qatar you're not helping sportswash them but if they own Spurs you are? Nah. People will remember the Qatar World Cup more than whoever owns Tottenham. By taking part in that tournament you helped legitimise them - own it, rather than trying to clutch at straws to justify it.
It's either they own our rivals and benefit them or they own us and benefit us. The game/football is going whether you like it or not, it makes zero difference whatsoever. I'd rather we levelled the playing field than keep this gang of corporate wankers in charge & stayed behind the pack for decades.
On thé one hand people who would prefer ENIC stay are content with not winning anything.I suspect that if an oil barron/state had never bought a club before, less people would be "botherer" by all this.
My suspicion is that a lot of fans have become so jealous of the success of the clubs who have won the jackpot has made them very bitter and very anti "money club"
It becomes hard for those certain individuals to switch off the defence mechanism they have built for a decade or 2.
There's no way to prove I'm right or wrong because it has already happened. I could only prove my theory if I could turn back time and have Abramovich buy us instead of Chelsea.
Cool - you get on your high horse and trash talk someone because it suits your argument, but the reality is that the man did nothing illegal, and when it comes to operating stocks and shares and currency markets, pretty much anything goes.Something not being illegal does not equate to moral. I'd expect someone who dares to talk about somebody else's 'deficit' of intelligence to understand the difference, but I guess not.

On the other hand, they are so fuelled by jealousy of the success that sports washers have had, they can’t embrace Qatari ownership?
Do we want success according to you or not? I can’t figure it out.
