sofascore.com say different things, but hey let's trust xg philosophy on twitter

Erm ... let's trust sofascore.com!!!!

Everyone, from our fans to theirs to the media, could see they deserved to win that game. We had a few opportunities but they were few & far between and we didn't dominate the phases of the match that mattered.

Get over it & move on. This was not a game we were hard done by in.

Game was lost in the first half....... More often than not, the better teams aren't gonna allow the 'glamour' 2nd half comeback like Bournmouth did...... Even if Arse did shrink into their shells a bit in the 2nd half.

Possibly still worth it, but too expensive to be a punt. Baffled that we didn't go for them at the time they joined Palace though
If you don't play them they don't progress, doubt Jose (I think but point stands if Poch) is a manager to blood on players. Were links perhaps chose Palace ahead of us for playing time, regardless doubt they would be the same player if they came here to sit on the bench or uninspiring loan

On the app they have it as 1.6 Vs 1.85 so still better for them.
No clue how it's calculated

trust that account on twitter, it's more appropriate to you

the difference was made by the 2 GKs.
they were able to score from distance, we weren't able to score from inside the box
a draw would have been the fair result, IMO, then think as you want and good life

Let’s not forget that Saka’s attempted cross was probably 0.00 xG. I’m sure the 2nd goal was low as well and so was parteys smash off the post.

So take away us throwing one into our own net, a good long distance goal, and what could have been a 3rd, and then the game was relatively even.

That’s a lot to take away… we got smashed.

They were 2-0 up and cruising before we put them under any serious pressure, and even that didn't last very long and they were dominant again.

We did what we always do these days, gift wrapped midfield with a pretty bow and gave it to them. We got exactly what we deserved - a big fat nothing.

No idea, and don’t care. How many CL sides have a midfield that includes a Scandinavian Binman, one good centre back and an array of shite right backs?

Highest ticket prices in the PL so I don’t see what we have in common with most other clubs.

Woolwich have a Swiss bin man in midfield, one decent CB and ben White at RB?

City won the league last year with one good CB (who didn't;'t play much), no CF or LB.

It's amazing what a bit of proactive coaching can do.

Like the idea of the Morracan keeper. Big lad decent with his feet can kick long and loads of presence.
Would be nice all the same to have a hg keeper and give us a bit more freedom in building the squad. If we can get Raya I think he's the clear #1 option, Chelsea and United interest could be problematic. Not as keen on Pickford or Henderson. Holding onto the likes of Tanganga because he's hg is a pain.

Its pointless. You don't even need stats to break down that game, just watching it was more than enough. They had all the momentum during parts of the game where it matters, we had some of it when chasing the match, and only then.

And individual errors are still part of what the team 'deserves' ... they have a better keeper and less panicky, crap centre backs, so they could actually deal with situations we presented to them. Ours shit themselves.
