There is two options for the club to be successful on the pitch from this point.

1 back Conte with 300-400m and get him the elite players he needs.

2 get a ‘’project manager’’ and start getting good young players to build a high press attacking system. This is obviously the cheaper option, works but takes time and requires a clear thought out plan from the board. This will mean selling Kane/Son and most players 28 or over.

Oh yea, seems brilliant plan.
With the summer spending, he has taken us from 4th place to a trend to finish in 7th or 8th.

Give him 300-400 mil more and we are right on the brink of achieving title... in Championsip next season.

But seriously though... in situation where manager has awfully failed in integrating new signings as they came... AND is on track to leave in 5 months... giving him OUR YEARLY REVENUE worth of money to spend?!? I mean what? Do you have no perspective at all?

It is like you've been saving every possible penny for years to collect the downpayment to your own house. And then night before transaction, you go to a casino with the whole sum, and put in on blackjack table... without ever playing it or not knowing the rules. Sure, there is some chance that you multiply the money. But most likely you will lose it all and set yourself back.

Conte done very little in my opinion to warrant further money being spent towards his preferred choices, much as he seems to curry favour from a few posters.

My real concern is that whichever manager replaces him will also need some players of quality, and who may be able to get more out of them than Conte could, so I hope we don't cut off our nose to spite our face.

We are lacking but no way as much as cry baby Conte makes out.

Yea, I am just trying to imagine if we'd have had the balls to act out and sack Conte within hour after the Leeds game concluded.
FFS letting LEEDS score 3 goals at OUR HOME. After long run of shit games...

That would have given a capable manager 1,5 months in WC time to work with our players and possibly getting lot of them on board and into good shape. I am talking about likes of Skippy, Spence, Bissouma, Sess, Gil.

And then by the end of first week in January, picture would be clear - who can cut it and who cannot. And then you could bring in needed players that capable manager would need and could use.

Instead, we still sit in standstill situation with whiney, cynical and vicious idiot at helm who keeps starting with 10 men and surrendering midfield to every EPL level side. Oh well... life of a Spurs fan, ain't it...

So we know we are not doing 1 and we will poorly execute 2. Levy in my opinion has learned nothing in 23 years, our most successful period under ENIC was the Poch project. Since then he has hired two cheque book managers, managers well known for this trait. However it appears to me he has never intended to turn the club into a cheque book club . This is cognitive dissonance on a colossal scale , cheque book manager on project manager finance, This all feeds back to my belief Levy thinks he is a hell of a lot smarter than he is , that he can get one over on anyone and everyone .

Tottenham, meanwhile, are making a long-term succession plan for captain Hugo Lloris and are also interested in Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

Oblak is ready to move to the Premier League but would cost significantly more than Raya.

As much as id like this to be true I really dont see it happening - world class keepers cost a LOT of money and Oblak is up there with the best. Still would prefer to see an English keeper here for various reasons

Levy is a businessman and elite businessman with seemingly a big ego so we are great at something’s and shit at others.

Would prefer Raya someone about to hit there prime than oblak now.

unlikely anything will start moving forward until tuesday after the fulham game , Levy will feel as usual he has a better negoitating position with just a week left to do deals.

People may think he's average, but he's a lot better than the depth we currently have.

meh can have him,

he'd just be a bench warmer for us, as he will for them. We need top quality to challenge son, not more lucas mouras

In regards to your first point, it infuriates me how Levy works that way. We'd be livid if we had a week to find a replacement for a player, especially mid-season. We need signings in week one of Jan.

As for Trossard, he offers more quality than what we have though to come in.

We need at least two signings that improve us. An attacking minded player and a defender preferably a right wing back. Trossard would‘ve been one but likely going to Woolwich Scum now. Porro deal off as well. What the fuck are they doing we desperately need reinforcements. Even if Conte walks or gets the sack the new manager has to have better quality and squad depth I don’t get it.
