As a manager he should demand his players perform to his standard. He’s essentially saying, he doesn’t care if these players perform to the standard, he set at his previous jobs.

What I understand from that quote is if he demanded the same backing as at Juventus or Inter, he’d be long gone in frustration. So he tries to build Tottenham differently than the clubs he’s been before, probably realizing the owners won’t spend shit
