Player Dejan Kulusevski

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Let me explain... When people say “oh but we backed Conte with £150m last summer”, around £40m of that money was spent on Romero to make his loan permanent. So practically we spent about £100m on new players. Not to say a single player (Richarlison) costed more than half of that.

OK..... So "people" are pretending..... Not ENIC......

(Much like when people claim that ENIC made a big fuss about having a warmest.... that didn't happen either.... just fan hype).

Glad we got there eventually.

You do realise your projections just make you the other side of the same coin?

..........A big chunk of people refused to acknowledge Romero & Kulu because in the window they eere signed because they hadn't been paid yet.

It's puerile thinking either way..... Over a broader amount of time it still amounts to the same total spent.

Have we signed him permanently? I hope Juventus don’t change their mind and decide to keep him (unless we have a must-buy clause).

inb4 the bald ENIC cunts buy him with Kane money then pretend we spent loads of money on reinforcements like we did this summer with Romero.
Not yet we haven't he's still on loan. We pay to make him permanent this summer. Same way we did with Romero except that loan was 1 year not 18 months.

I think the deal is if we agree to pay the full fee he has to join us. At least i hope that's the case.

Seeing Kulusevski who wasn't taken seriously at Juventus turn into a player who will probably be world class in a few years makes me wonder how many more players there are like him.

Players who never had the chance to show that they were elite because they were being held back.

Or players like Moussa Dembele when he was playing CF at Fulham but had to move to find his true position.

Identifying those players is exactly why directors of football can demand huge salaries.

Loan hasn't been made permanent yet has it?
Still only 22, wouldn't be much of a suprise of man city wanted him
Isn't it an obligation to buy? Either way it's our choice.

We should be able to get at least 3 more years out of him. Surely you'd rather be playing regular team football at 22 than be a rotation option. Or even worse get the Jack Grealish treatment from Pep in your prime years.

Pretty sure it’s an obligation, if he plays 20 games this season we legally have to buy him and we have the option to buy him otherwise I believe.

Don’t people claim that Conte doesn’t improve players?

Where does Kulu fit in that narrative?

To be fair, Kulusevski was always touted to being one of the better prospects in European football along with Bentancur. Both just hideously out of form in a Juventus team that didn't suit them.

They're both living up to their potential but I would put that more down to the fact they're now getting consistent football in a system that probably suits them better than the previous teams they were at. Kulusevski most certainly.
