And I think some addition by subtraction is in order. I think Mourinho was onto something when, in the Netflix series, he told the time they were nice guys in a way you knew it wasn't a complement. What I think he figured out was he had a dressing room led by guys who were too comfortable. Are Dier and Lloris finished as players? No. But would moving them along send a message and create a sense of urgency? Probably. We need more guys like Kulu who acknowledge mistakes and hold themselves and others accountable. The on field pointers are shoulder shruggers need to be sent elsewhere.
