Chelsea are rivalling Newcastle United in the chase for Everton's Anthony Gordon.
Newcastle opened talks with Everton last week after reviving interest in the 21-year-old winger, who is valued around £60million.
That price is well above Newcastle's estimate and they had initially proposed striker Chris Wood as a potential makeweight prior to him joining Nottingham Forest on loan. Talks are continuing but Chelsea's presence at the negotiating table could help Everton achieve their desired price.

What the fuck are Chelsea going to do with this monsterous squad?

Does Todd Boehly think this is the NFL where they all keep interchanging every five minutes?

Jesus wept, how many wingers do they want?

Defensively, I actually think we need a competent LB/LWB than a CB. And fuck do we need a CB.

Our left flank is weak as piss. Son, Sess, Peresic.

Let me just clarify. We ned CB's (plural) but I think if we brought in a decent LB/LWB, pushed Peresic into Son's role, we could probably protect our CB's better, and limp on till summer for the CB's.

Putting Bissouma in there, instead of Hojbjerg plodding around might help too.

We are getting outnumbered because we only play 2 men in midfield, and yes we need to change tactics, we need to play 3 men in midfield. Quality is not the problem.
Always playing 2 against 3 in midfield gives opponents too much possession and that is ridiculous with the defence we have. We can’t play 4 at the back in 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 because our centrebacks and fullbacks are useless so it has to be 3-5-2 with Kulusevski playing in between our 2 central midfielders Son has to go so Kane and Richy up front, Kane just behind Richy.
