Transfers January 2023 Transfer Thread. The Big One

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

It doesn't look like we're getting a new goalkeeper by the looks of things this transfer window, I think we're going to stick with Lloris until the summer.

I wish Conte would either hurry up and sign a new contract or bugger off, this waiting game isn't helping anyone. if we're are going to have Poch back in the summer, I'm not sure he's going to be playing with wingbacks, so have we been wasting time chasing them ie Udogie last window and now Porro?

My only worry about Porro is, is he as good RB as RWB?

Because the Conte successor is likely going to prefer 4231/433
Apparently plays RB in a 4 when they don't have the ball. They just use him very high up when they do have the ball.

Formation and positional definitions are strange to me. I'm trying to understand this stuff better but when you see the way that Cancelo plays and now the way that Pep and Lego Pep are using Lewis and Zinchenko as midfielders almost, not really sure the old definitions of positions is as rigid as it used to be.

We don’t need a back up for Son but a replacement ,either Leao or Kvaratskheila
Spurs under ENIC are yet to sign players like that from the top shelf.
We got Kulusevski who is as good or better than both (plays on the other side) but we got him because he was out of the team at the time. Now Kulu is in that bracket of players we never sign.
Will be interesting to see how they approach the long term successor to Son on that side of the pitch.

I can tell you now. Badly.

Imagine us running away with the league & having owners signing 2 players for 50m in January. We are struggling for top 4 & have signed nobody. Why do we always get the shit owners who don’t care about winning stuff.
Imagine being married to Gigi Hadid. Imagine if you were a Hedge Fund manger.

Deal in the present and the achievable - don't project fantasy into what you can't control.
