We probably will after he’s been at Sporting for a couple of seasons 🤣

Seriously though, I can’t see why they’d prefer Lamptey to Spence on loan.
I can't see how Spence has been behind Emerson & Doherty all season...or why he was even brought in in the first place considering AC's total dislike of the kid.

What a waste. But I bet you one thing...it's not Conte's fault. Nothing ever is...#NewArsene

Have to agree - I think we’ll get Pickford in the summer.

Dier and or Davies desperately need replacing though and fast.
If Kane doesn’t leave in the summer then I think the summer window will be about 2 new centre halves and a GK as priority.

Another attacker (if Danjuma doesn’t work out) and centre mid as well, but the priority is the defence.

Even if H is staying we need to be all in on Vlahovic. He is the right age and as long as the Paratici/Juventus thing hasn't made it impossible I think he should be the target.

Skriniar is RIGHT-footed, and plays as a RCB, same position as Romero.

And he is more used to playing in a back-4. Inter is the first club he has played the 3 centreback system. Before that he has always played in a back-4, same goes for the national team.
Weird bit is all the bloody stats sites say different things. As for Inter he can clearly handle three and four poitionally

I agree. If they did have strategies, they were abandoned each time a manager was sacked.

It doesn't mean that investing in young, gifted talent isn't a strategy though. Succession planning is a strategy, and it's not a bad one.

There's many on here that have said we need a total squad rebuild, and I make them right, but you don't bin off everyone in one fell swoop and buy in an entire new squad, not and maintain some form of equilibrium.

I dunno, we've tried buying players with big reputations, in the hopes of making a big impact, and made a ricket of that more often than not. Our successes have mostly been with younger talent that we've taken a punt on. We've had our failures there too, but a greater percentage of success when compared to the "name" players.

I could be wrong, but I get the feeling that we're picking our targets with a bit more care.
But we have a coach who wants the finished article , Spence being the best example. Coach has to be on board , Conte clearly is not . It’s so dysfunctional
