We are a club going absolutely nowhere

Woolwich unexpectedly hit the top of the league and they absolutely plough in the money to make sure they're resourced to stay there.
Chelsea struggling so they plough money in to fix it.
Newcastle growing as a club still, punching above their weight but still strengthening.
City are stacked and don't really need to buy they just need to adjust their style.
Liverpool bleat that they can't compete and then sign their second consecutive £40m January attacker after £85m on one in between.
Even fucking Bournemouth managed to agree a free for Zaniolo in 15 minuted flat. Regardles as to whether he wanted to join is irrelevant, they were willing to pay.

And we, we loan a player and spend FOUR FUCKING WEEKS wasting time on one we can't seem to actually get.

At this stage, I'm positive that chairman all over the planet are trolling Daniel Levy because he's such a megacunt. Fuck, he deserves to be trolled.
Superb post 🏅🏅🏅
And yet so many people invest so much of their time passionately supporting/defending /apolosing for their beloved chairman and his investment company trolling/milking our club and it's fans.....

It's absolutely bizarre. I said in another thread, every Spurs fan I personally know wants them out. Every gooner and chav I know wants Levy to stay!🤷‍♂️

I'm convinced this could be used as some case study for budding psychologists in the future.

Great post. Those clubs have long term planning, a strategy and managers that could be with them for years. They want to improve and win things. We have a chairman who wants younger players but wont pay for them, a manager that wants experience but we wont pay for them and a DoF who appears to have given up, which might be sensible as he'll probably be retiring in a few weeks. Our squad consists of 3 loans, a load of players who's contracts end in 18 months and a couple of fading stars who have helped carry us for 4 or 5 years. Root and branch change is needed and that starts at the top.

Some of our fans seem to actually enjoy us being the laughing stock of football and the butt of all our rival fans jokes.
They want more of the same. Like a spanking fetish I suppose

We bought the wrong midfielder is the consensus lol

Easy to say, but there's nothing that tells us if we had signed Caicedo instead, he'd have performed any better in a Conte team or got in ahead of Hojbjerg and Bentancur, a trusted partnership.

I like Caicedo though. Fearless. It's likely he'd have had that coached out of him in a rigid system like Bissouma has. But we'll never know.

I don't think at his best he's better than Bissouma. But he's a year older than Pape Sarr so that should tell you all you need to know about how high his ceiling is.

What's the feeling on caicedo, I've not watched much of brighton
Good player, with Partey injured, hopefully Brighton lead them on then keep him until the summer.
They can replace him though.
If you offered me Pape Sarr or Caciedo for the next 7 years, I'd take Pape because his ceiling as a footballer is so much higher and he has that ability to be where he needs to be defensively. Longer strides to cover ground as well. Caciedo is ahead because he's already so fucking strong physiucally he wins duels at prem level. Sarr will get there.

Joelinton isn't close to what Dembele was.

The closest though. Can't boss a game like Dembele can but a physical presence in there, who's good on the ball, press resistant and a unit in the process.

Too many of the "Dembele-replacement" type players have tended to be good physical players who are press resistant and under 6 ft. (Bissouma, Ndombele, Seri) But Dembele was much more than that.

He's aided alot by Bruno Guimaraes in there but he's transformed his career tremendously well from a struggling striker to a brilliant central midfielder.

In fact, Guimaraes was one that we should have targeted as a Dembele replacement. Funnily enough.

Brighton is an incredible club for developing players. If Sarr was there he would have played a whole season by now and probably have £100m price tag on him with Chelsea going nuts.

On a side note we cannot sell Sarr, he just has talent in spades. Our CM is fine, Bentancur, Sarr, Bissouma, Skipp and Hojbjerg. We have real depth in that position.

Right, i didn't even really clock he used to be a striker. He came from Germany?

Guimaraes was on one of those "Sensible signings for Spurs" videos . Turns out it was a good shout. Can see why the club wasn't keen to buy from Lyon again, though.
