Also find the Zabarnyi to Bournemouth deal pretty strange, if we hold an interest we should be getting him now, then loan him out to the likes of Bournemouth.

We’ve heard that the release clause was only valid in the summer, not valid in last 12 days of a window and just that there’s a release clause.
It’s actually consistent (though unlikely) that all 3 are correct or some combination thereof.
The point is not really about the release clause. It’s about our ignorance. There are so many other things we could be ignorant about that may come out or may not.
(Although we do know paying 43m in one go is incredibly rare).
I don’t think it hurts to approach this side of things from a ‘don’t burn your bridges’ perspective.

Do we? We know that release clause activations are relatively rare, and within that release clauses over 43m+ are rare. We have no idea how all the mega-money deals in football history have been structured, clubs don't release this stuff.
