Transfers January 2023 Transfer Thread. The Big One

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Bissouma was not the type of player we needed in midfield IMO and has made little impression whatsoever. Hasn't really contributed.

I like Richarlison, but we've been waiting on cover for Harry for fucking well long enough and has so far contributed little through injury and whatever else. Perisic has been a good signing.

Spence has contributed absolutely nothing. Lenglet has been pretty poor tbh and isn't worth signing permanently. Udogie doesn't play for Spurs yet and we have no idea how he'll turn out at this stage really.

Yeah, we did great. 9/10 window.
Surely you can’t say Soence has contributed nothing? His had about the same minutes as udogie. Richarlison has had plenty of minutes and looks a duff. How anyone thinks his worth £60M is beyond me. At that price he should knocking the barn door down for a starting place. Reckon st max would have been a better purchase far better on the ball than this cry baby who either falls down at slightest touch or is offside.

So lets look at who some of our rivals signed this January :

Woolwich
Leandro Trossard (Brighton)
Jorginho (Chelsea)

ManCity
Maximo Perrone (Velez Sarsfield)

Newcastle
Anthony Gordon (Everton)
Harrison Ashby (West Ham)

ManU
Jack Butland (Crystal Palace) Loan
Wout Weghorst (Burnley) Loan

Liverpool
Cody Gakpo (PSV)

So Spurs with Porro and Danjuma is possibly better than some other clubs, certainly not bad.

Sure we could improve our squad ........ Liverpool fans will argue the same
Woolwich also got the polish defender

In case anyone is waiting up until the end of the window .......

Clubs have to have a 'deal sheet' in with the Premier League by 23:00 GMT but they are allowed to work out the final elements of the deal after that.

Based on previous years, it's not impossible one or two deals might be announced after 01:00.......

Does it matter who we compare it to, yes they are going on a mad spending spree , however it’s proved the fact that anything can get done in January if you pay the money
Anything can happen if you have a bottomless pit of money. We don’t. Never have. Why is it going to change this year.

It’s just so much whining on here. I’d love it if we could spend 600 million but we obviously can’t so I’m not going to get upset when it doesn’t happen.

It’s irrelevant when you compare it to amount of work that needed to be done though. We have so much more transfer business (both in and out) that needs doing compared to those clubs.

The very fact that players in front of defense are "not actual footballers" exactly means that you have to have solid back line. Cause the clowns upfield cannot retain the possession anyway. Attacks keep on coming and Lenglet is criminally unfit to deal with them.

It is hard to watch the shit Conte is lining us up to play anyway. Picking 21 balls out of our net with 10 games means that our defense is absolute shitshow. And any improvement is big enough.

Specially given that with more solid Davies we could play Perisic on LWB, but with Lenglet, it would have to be Sess... so there is no comparison really. Davies all the fucking way.
davies solid? lol. we talking about the same davies here? in contes system the defenders see a lot of the ball, you need technical competence back there in this system. lenglet and romero the only two at the club we have who have any respectable technique on the ball.

davies is only slightly better at actual defending than lenglet, hes a long way off him in terms of on the ball...long, long way.

sess? awful, little scared kid playing a mans game. reminds me of winks
